About three weeks ago, I was checking my emails when a pop up ad showed up on my computer. It was an ad telling me how I could make money on the internet

Ever since the internet became a public thing, I have wanted to make my own website. I even bought the Internet for Dummies book. But earning all that code looked so difficult.

About ten years ago, my dad and I went to a seminar to learn how to sell items on the internet. The group running the seminar asked us for $10,000.00 and we would get our own internet "store". My dad signed us up, but I quickly lost interest. It was a lot of work. I would have to build my own site, then find someone that would supply the products. Then I would have to find someone who would ship the products. This was like running a brick and mortar store.

Needless to say, I was pretty skeptical about this ad. So, instead of clicking on the banner, I googled the website.

The first item on google was this businesses name followed by the word SCAM. I read the article. It was written by some guy named Carson, and he showed various ways to tell that this was indeed a scam. Most pointedly, he showed pictures of the "owner" of the site, than showed the same picture of her on various other sites. He did the same thing with the people that were providing "testimonials" about the site.

Carson then went on to promote his own site, Wealthy Affiliate. It sound pretty interesting, so I checked it out.

The first thing that caught my eye was that they were offering the first week free of full access to the site, including chat rooms and Course 1 with 10 classes.

Now when most sites offer a free trial, they still require a credit card. That gives me major warning flags and I instantly get away from the site. Here, I was only asked for my name and email and I was signed up for the trial.

I started taking Course 1, and found it to be easy and interesting. I really like Kyle's style of teaching and the fact that he goes step by step. Each lesson directly leads into the next lesson seamlessly. Also, at the end of each lesson we get homework which helps me understand exactly what I am doing.

Another thing that appealed to me is the "pay it forward" attitude. This is a great way to get more involved in the community.

The moment that got me completely hooked happened at the end of my free week. I had to wait until pay day to become a Premium Member. The chat was shut down. Kyle was still sending me emails inviting me to check out some different blogs. I was having an issue online, so I wrote Kyle to the email that I was seeing in my inbox. I totally expected a form letter asking me to sign up as a Premium Member to get the answer. Nope. Kyle personally responded and answered the question that I asked.

At that point, I saw that this site is for real and the folks on this site really do want to help others become successful internet entrepreneurs.

In the past three weeks, I have learned how to use Word Press to make a website, how to find the perfect keywords to add to my blogs. I have gotten great critiques and comments. I have learned how to add media so that my site is more interesting.

I am very proud of my website, moviesoundtrackreview.com. Every day I have experienced victories, some small and some really big. I can't wait to see what Course 3 has in store for me. Hopefully, I will get my first payment in the next 3 months.
