My first blog

Hello to the WA community and all my followers.

This is my first ever attempt at writing a blog. I needed to do it sooner or later so here it is.

I started WA about 1 1/2 months ago. I am disabled and was looking for a purpose in my life. Not so much for the money but I needed to be reliant on myself again. I have always been self employed and have owned a successful business in Florida. After the accident I had to sell the company and went into a huge depression. I thought my life was over. At one point it almost was. I took all my medication I had and thought that was it. Luckily it wasn't. I woke in the hospital after a friend stopped by my house and found me in the state I was in. She was stopping by just to say hi. I owe my life to her!

After moving back home to Massachusetts to be with family, depression hit even harder. I was always a worker and to be sitting around recovering after surgery after surgery was killing me slowly. I read a book called Shock from Kitty Dukakis about the healing power of Electroconvulsive Therapy. Basically shock therapy. I know what some of you are thinking. Its not like it used to be. It saved my life a second time. It was done like any other medical procedure you would go for. Never any pain or side effects. I was starting to get a life back.

After finding WA my life started changing again. I was finding myself happy to communicate with other people going through the building of our websites. I hadn't communicated with anyone but doctors and family for a long time. I was feeling more positive about my situation I was in and could finally see a future again. Did I mention I know nothing about computers never mind knowing nothing about affiliate marketing. But I am happy to be learning them both.

Then it happened!!

I am building two sites at the moment. One is on e-cigs and using them as a tool to quit tobacco products. And the other is on Pyrography. The art of wood burning. I am on level 3-6 in my training and think I am doing OK. I have not been keeping track of my traffic to my sites yet because the way I look at it, if it happens it happens. Then it happened!! I got my first sale off an affiliate link on one of my sites! I just made 30 dollars!! I couldn't believe it. My affiliate link was only up there for two days and BAM! Someone bought one of the products I talked about. Amazing!! Thanks to my first customer!

I just want to end with a shout out to all who helped me make this possible. Everyone who helped me and communicated with me these last 45 days or so, THANK YOU ALL!!
