I didn't really understand how the link thing worked....so the first one I didn't...but then I went back and edited the article and added one...I still wasn't really sure what to do so I just highlighted a phrase in the article and linked it lol! I would love to have you read it and give me some feedback....please keep in mind I'm an accountant by trade not a writer LOL!

This looks like this is the exact same article that's on your site and this is a no no when it comes to Google rankings. You need to write a completely new and different article so that when your visitors click over to your site they aren't reading the same exact article.
The whole idea of them clicking over to your site is so they can get more information on your topic. I think you are doing great so far and we have all made this mistake when we first started out. I'm just glad I was able to catch it early on for you.
Oh man....I had no idea...I must have missed something in the training...I thought the training was telling me to post an article on my page and then submit it.....grrr....thanks for the heads up!!!
That is totally fine the only way you are going to learn is by asking for feedback and having people look over your work. We live and learn keep pressing forward and I look forward to reading many more articles from you soon
