For all you newbies who are wondering what the heck preselling is, allow me to explain. As affiliate marketers it is never our goal to sell an affiliate product. The potential customer will see a sales page when he gets to your merchant. Most internet users don't like to be pitched with a sales letter. So the goal of ours is to presell. Preselling goes something like this. It is not a sales pitch, it is a page to warm your potential customer up. It involves sounding unbiased, like an expert, overdelivering information etc. You don't want to make it sound like a sales pitch. Rather it needs to be more subtle. Then throw in a link or two to your merchant's pages in a subtle, nonchalant manner. There's more to it but you can find out more from this e-book and even here at WA!
