Affiliate Bootcamp Goal setting
I answered the referral number question in my tasks list in the Affiliate Bootcamp first lesson. However, because I like to go back and revise what I initially came up with so I have specifics, I shall break it down to WHY I'm thinking so conservatively vs. others who are thinking on a more aggressive, higher conversion level.
My answer to the question was a small number of 4 referrals a month, and to properly execute compelling campaigns to encourage them to subscribe to premium shortly after, if not in the first shot.
This has nothing to do with my feelings or reflections of the value acquired from WA, as I think anyone interested in a career change, or a means to take more control of their lives should subscribe to WA's premium membership. Here it is, day four and I'm feeling 1000% more enthusiastic and setting clearer goals than I have ever done before from previous training and research. And I'm currently still with the free membership.
The main factor to my conservative goal is I work very consistently and methodologically. While I have no field experience with Affiliate marketing, I have many years of experience with marketing/sales of my own products and services, as well as being a motivated "self taught" person. And from that I can attest that...incremental steps that are consistent and regular are vastly better than one shot of something huge, and then nothing for long stretches of time.
I'm using the Affiliate Bootcamp as a means to test and measure my initial skills and knowledge. I had gotten stuck with trying to find the appropriate niche for...jeeze...almost a year now. While many argue I'm highly inventive and creative, I've obviously not wrapped my head around finding niches yet. Having the Affiliate Bootcamp bluntly state "Work with us to get you started" is nice. I believe in WA to the fullest, and I have experience with it. I can stand behind it, and it's related to things I want to promote and market (more on the conceptual level of "take control of your life" and "positive changes" in things such as NLP and other technologies)
Lastly, a very important lesson was taught from Eben Pagan about goal setting and the mistakes many people make. Many think "I need to make money now, so I need to set up an online business"...where as he pointed out that the money is just a measurable result if you're providing value, and quality information/service or a product. As well f you're using the proper strategies to get your message in front of an audience, and if you've encouraged them to do the proper call to actions which converts well.
I know many are throwing down higher numbers because of ego and enthusiasm. While there maybe people with previous experience in the field with Affiliate marketing, nativity can sometimes be the voice of an inflated ego boost. In which case, discouragment and impatience will set in if these higher stretched goals aren't met right off the bat. No one's goals seemed unrealistic at all. But in a learning phase, encouragement and "proof that you can do this" is the greatest asset that we have at this time. It's more valuable than the initial cash money you'll aquire, because developing REAL skills and knowledge is the greatest form of wealth there is

Yeah, money is energy that comes after what we believe and makes us feel good. I have experienced this.
I also understand that each one of us has different priorities. However, urgency is not a good team mate.
I am glad to read that you are believing in what you are achieving.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)
Thank you Marcos...A lot of why I'm doing this has nothing to do about career, but rather "changing my world view" as to what can be achieved. This is just one of many components in my life that I'm currently changing, or replacing with previous things
There is a time in life for replacing the old with the new, and this phase is usually a roller coaster with ups and downs. It definitively is exciting and involves lots of learning. I can tell that the change itself is making you feel better.
