First Day with Wealthy Affiliate

Last Update: March 22, 2014

My first day with Wealthy Affiliate has come to an end and I couldn’t be more excited about being a member of this great community and following the road that’s laid out in front of me. I signed up for the free starter account yesterday evening and was instantly impressed with the warm welcome and support I received from the members of the community.

My plan was to hold out for the 7 days and learn everything I could before considering to upgrade to the premium account but by the end of this first day I thought, “what’s the point, why wait”. I can feel that this is where I’m suppose to be and I want to show others how serious I really am… so I upgraded to premium after just one day of reviewing the site.

Truth be told, within the first hour of joining I know I would be upgrading to the premium account. Why was i so quick to decide? There are so many reasons why and anyone who is part of this community knows them all, but the main reason was because Kyle and Carson, the creators of Wealthy Affiliate, never once promised me instant success, riches, or fame. Sure they said if I worked hard it was possible but that’s it. The things they did promise me were unwavering support, education, and mountains of resources to help me achieve my success. Once I was a member and roaming around the site talking with other members I knew their promise was real and this is where I belonged.

Although, I have made one tiny mistake already in my first day as a Wealthy Affiliate member. I didn’t get overwhelmed with all the information as I’ve heard some newbies do but instead I got sidetracked from completing the Online Entrepreneur Certification lessons by being overcome with the urge to connect and read every blog or comment I came across. Now I’m not saying that’s a bad thing as it is the purpose of the site; however, I really wanted to get thru the lessons first. I’m getting some great advice from the community but I don’t have anything to apply it to yet. My advice to any new members is to forgo trying to connect with everyone at first and instead follow the lessons and get your sites up. That’s what I’ll be doing today.

With that said, I’m very excited about being here and about my future. I’m ready to work harder and smarter than I ever have to accomplish my goals. I’m also really looking forward to helping other when I can as I feel this is the true foundation of what Wealthy Affiliate is all about. Every member here is a student and every member is a teacher. Everyone I have connected with in my first day has something to bring to the table and I love that!

At this point I know nothing about Internet Affiliate Marketing but I am a professional website designer/developer with experience working with Wordpress sites. I may not be able to give you advice about which niche to choose but I can help you if you’re having trouble setting up your sites. Now, this is not a “sales” pitch, I’m not saying “come and hire me to create your site”... I’m saying I’m here to help any member of Wealthy Affiliate how ever I can, no-strings attached.

Hi Buck, But certainly, you can use that line. However, if I copyright it someday, I may have to start charging you royalties. Don't worry. Just like to use a British sense of humor.

Definitely welcome to a unique community of givers and receivers. I also went premium right away; three hours after joining. I figured that if I wanted to go into town and make a killing, why go with only one pistol on my hip. I'm so glad I did and so will you be.
