Why Success is Important to Me

Why is success important to anyone? Seems like a dumb question at first. For a long time I thought I wanted to be successful because, well...that's what you're supposed to want, right?

Recently, however, I realized that this way of thinking is wrong.

Because until recently, I truly did not have a real, tangible reason for success. I merely wanted to be successful for success' sake. And I'm not just talking about success within WA and with my online business. I'm talking about everything in life.

Success to me has always been this:

Step 1 --> Do well with whatever job you have

Step 2 --> Make a bunch of money

Step 3 --> House, Car, Wife, Kids

Step 4 --> Retire and chill out

However, I never could really get past that first one, and the second one has only ever been a dream. Why though?

Well, about a month ago (though I didn't really know it at the time) I found out.

I was missing that certain something that gave me a reason to want success. Not simply desire it, but truly and wholly want it. And for me, that certain something was the love of my life. And though I only met her a month ago, when you know, you know.

I'm not saying this to get "aw's", I'm saying it because it needs to be said that without a reason to really want success, all you have is empty desire, which leads to nothing. To use an analogy related to my recently acquired relationship:

Conquests of lust are short lived and serve no great end, conquests of love last forever and fill your life with joy.

And so I am now on the path of success, and I know that I will be seeing it more and more clearly with each passing day.
