I've been unemployed so long I'm thinking of changing my FB status to 'HOMEMAKER'. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Still I'm at that stage where the Department of Unemployment Insurance makes you jump through a few hoops to get those checks.

My first thought was 'what a pain in my A** this is going to be'. Job Club, honestly I hate getting up and getting dressed to go. The first few I actually went in my comfy pants. But I realized that I actually felt better on Wednesdays - Job Club day (it may be a club but none of the members has a job and once you get one, we kick you out heh-heh-eh). We learn to do an elevator speech, using keywords to spike interest in your resume (LOL), and how to do an interview. But we also share our stories and I found that every single person there is in my situation. No employment, no income, UI ending in weeks or days and nothing foreseeable changing anytime soon. BUT everyone of those people, and me, have decided to take their fate back into their own hands. Making a product, going to school (some didn't know it was a possibility), writing blogs - yes there are two or three in my club. I started washing my face, brushing my hair and putting on jeans.

The job club facilitator is Sherian, she is the only one in the room with (and the only one allowed) a job. She was the first to see my site before it was published and has been nothing but supportive. She was able to facilitate my getting credit for working on my website as a part-time job. Wonderful right, good person - and she really is but WHAT, I must ask is the CATCH. . . . .did you figure it out - now I HAVE TO - I have to do this, I'm always bitching that if I could just devote 3 or 4 hours a day to doing something on WA - wow I would be right where I need to be.Sherian asked me this

"If you love it, and you are passionate about it, What are you waiting for?"

Here is the challenge Sherian gave me - - since I am required to volunteer 20 hours per week to an approved position. Dangit :( I must devote 20 hours per week to my website and keep a time log. Whether it is training, research for an article, reading/commenting on other's sites, building influences, etc... I agreed! I do love it, I can do at least that... wait. . . what, I did WHAT!

holy crap on a cracker, I even have to keep a time log - forgot to write down what time I started tonight....dangit.

Any takers? Even if you can only devote 10 keep a time log, see if you can work it.
