Is Success the Best Form of Motivation?
HELL YES!!! of course, who would ever turn down a bit of success....
Sometimes in the game of traffic generation it is good to see things you put effort in to yeild positive results. Not only does it prove that you have learnt and applied things correctly, but it also gives you confidence and greater resilience to stay with things through times when you don't see anything, as you know it will work in the end.
Today marks my 1st milestone in my very early beginnings with WA. To summarize:
- I created my account and went Prime on 8th Jan 2019
- I chose my path to follow the Bootcamp and now at end of Phase 3 of 7
- I'm article writting for the next 20 days and building the website
Yes, I am an absolute Noob here, however I have learned a tremendous amount and each day I apply myself to learn something new and stay on track. It has now become a habit and I feel bad if I don't do something and skip a day, hasn't happened yet!
SO, what can such a noob have achieved so quickly?
I like to always set myself small steps that I must achieve, and to me the achievement must be measureable in some tangible way.
So, I did the following last week:
- I researched some very,very,very low hanging fruit (longtail keywords)
- Wrote an article I was happy with to target my keyword, 3000 words
- I linked it with other articles and did everything I have learnt
My goal was to overkill what should be an easy target. Here are the keywords targeted in Jaaxy (Don't laugh at me, I know they are feeble!)
An then I checked a week later my rankings, and guess what was there?
I almost fell over when I saw I had ranked as #2 on Bing and Yahoo - this was very exciting for me and proved to me that the methods work and are highly effective.
Actually, when I went to Bing to make sure that this was real I was #1 - OMG, WOW!!!
I had also achieved this is a hot area where SEO is dominated by the people knowing what they are doing!
Concluding this quick update...
For all those new to this, wanting your own proof that the system works, have a go at some low hanging fruit, it won't bring you much traffic, but your success in achieving such a small victory will be the absolute best form of motivation that will lead you to your greatest future achievements.......
