I must be doing something right.
I got this message from someone I connected with on a social media site: (it is copied and pasted, so any typos etc are his, italics are mine)
"Hello Bryan, I took a look at your website and I really liked it and think its very interesting for the following reason :
- Other websites provide people with tons of emails and marketing and advertising and stuff : too much information gets too frustrating and confusing, you only sent me one email and made me feel that you are a real person and I love that part.
- You are open for opportunities, you like to know whats going on in the market, the other sites only promote their businesses and dont want to hear your questions or what you want to offer.
Well this made me feel comfortable about contacting you and why not make great deals with you. I quite like your website its alot better than other expansive websites because its HONNEST and this is a key factor."
He then went on to pitch me about something he is involved with, of course, but that's fine, as that is the nature of the networking site we are on.
Nice to get some feedback like that, unsolicited though, from a relative newbie like myself.
