Student Loans Oh MY!
Today I looked into applying for student loans for my freshman year of college. YIKES! I hate to take out loans but I know that I am investing in a better future and a great job. I don't plan on making a living out of my online business, but I do want to use it as a way to earn cash through college by sharing knowledge I have already acquired. I have to take out $10,000 this year alone, but I'm hoping that I won't have to take out so much next year as my website starts getting traffic. I think even if I started making enough money to live comfortably I would still want to chase after my career goals. I want to be a researcher, with a PhD in Astrophysics. So I'll ask, as a user of this site, are you trying to make a full-time salary or are you trying to make cash on the side?

I am looking at something that will eventually become full time because I know several people who are making a living full time and enjoying the process as an opportunity to explore something new. Therefore, for me, internet marketing is worth pursuing.
This is the type of career where it takes time to develop a strategy that will be consistent with little effort; so, as your blog title states, is "a lesson in patience".
Your education is important and will always be that way-maybe even more so in the future. Keep loans at at minimum, if you can, remembering you are obligated to repay the lenders.
Keep you eyes on prize though - obtaining the occupation you wish to pursue. Have fun!
I hope this helps.
If you can handle astrophysics, you can handle this. Keep the student loans to a minimum, if you can. Those loans will be a heavy weight later on. Your networking here will also be nice relief for that kind of study load. Best to you.
You will need Astrophysics for your websites in the next few years. You never know it may be the biggest thing online before you graduate.
Follow your dreams but always keep an open mind.
