Hey all, today I became a Premium member, and I'm really excited!

As my profile states, I'm now 40 years old - I can't believe it - and I've always wanted to own my own business. I grew up in a family of business owners, but those "brick and mortar" businesses just didn't "feel" right to me. In addition, they were high risk - large investment to get started, etc.

I didn't wait this long (40 years) to try something, however. I was involved with MLM for many years, and although I was in the top 5 - 10% of business owners (and in what I still consider to be one of the better businesses), after expenses my profit was minimal in a good month, and losing money in a bad month. You really need to be in the top 1% to be making decent income, and although the concept is great, I just eventually lost belief that I could make it happen. It was constantly build and replace, and people you invested a lot of time into would give up.

After licking my wounds, I was back to hunting for the perfect business for ME. I started learning about internet marketing, and loving the concept! Where else can you start a business for chump change, run it from anywhere in the world, have zero inventory, and make amazing, residual income? You literally make money from nothing - a concept that is crazy cool. (NOTE: I am not saying you do not provide a valuable service - I am a proponent of ethical business ONLY.)

This led to me doing a lot of online research, trying this and that, basically teaching myself how to do this internet marketing thing. The great thing about the internet is that you can find tons of information, and learn a lot of good stuff - but when you don't know what you don't know, you don't even know what to research!

Enter Wealthy Affiliate. What I'm loving so much about this site is that it's connecting the very basic dots that I was missing on my own. I've just got my website started - I literally set it up this afternoon, and don't even have the first 3 starter pages complete yet - and already I've found (and corrected) several things I had done wrong when dabbling on my own! I can only imagine how much more valuable WA is going to be when I get to the tougher stuff.

This is why I'm so excited. I'm making amazing progress, and actually seeing the value in WA - which makes it a no-brainer for me to be able to recommend this course to others!

I know that it's going to be a tough, challenging road ahead - but I can't help but feel that I've finally found what I've been looking for all these years.
