Here It Goes.
I could have never imagined that I would be embarking on the journey that I am going on now in life. I'm getting married by the end of this month, something I never thought would happen for me in life, at least not in the way it has. If you had told me, as a teenager, that I would be about to graduate from university, that I would end up making profound changes in my life and taking a journey of faith, I would probably be unable to even fathom what that would be like. And yet here I am, doing all these things that I never thought I would do or accomplish and having things that I never expected I would have in life. I'm grateful to God and the people He has put in my life to help me get to where I am today.
I also still can't believe that I'm now seeking to start an online business. This was never something I had on my radar or in my interests, and whenever I would see people offering get-rich-quick schemes, I just figured that all of it was a scam or that it was unlikely to be a profitable venture for someone without any technical knowledge such as myself. It was actually because of a particularly persuasive (at first) YouTube ad that I came across that I ended up finding Wealthy Affiliate. The guy was giving this story that was meant to be inspirational and rags-to-riches (I later figured out that there were inconsistencies in his story) and then had you take this webinar...it became more and more evident that he was trying to not only sell you at a high price that was certainly not within my budget, but also up sell to the point of insanity, as I would find out when I watched Benji's Dad's review of that particular program. I was frustrated with myself for having even let myself get my hopes up. Looking back on that, I can say that I'm glad that I did find it, because it led me to where I am now.
This community is already amazing to me. There is such a helpful, hopeful, upbeat culture here at Wealthy Affiliate and that alone has impressed me and made me feel that something is different here. I even brought up Wealthy Affiliate with someone I'd never met before at a health clinic. That's completely unlike the usual skeptical, reserved me.
I hope to be able to put my love of writing, my love of books, and my love of psychology to good use and really create something that not only brings dividends in the monetary sense but also continues to bring joy and purpose to me in its ability to help even just one person. I feel like this is an opportunity for me to build upon my own life experiences to relate to and help others to find just what it is they are looking for, for themselves and their families.
