Those are wonderful goals Brianna and I can tell you firsthand that these are more than achievable. When I started out I had very similar goals and with some hard work and dedication, I exceeded any goals that I could have ever initially set.

You will get there if you invest some hard work and dedication to this, I don't have any doubt. :)

Thanks for the follow.
Interesting you should mention house sitting and travel. My wife and I recently retired. (early) House sitting and travel have been on our minds. I've been looking into it lately. I can take this business with me, which I love the idea of.
Have you been house sitting away from your area? I'd like to hear more about this from you.

Scott,
I have never house sat outside of my area although it's something I've looked into and I know someone who does it. I'm not exactly sure how it's something to get established in, house sitting outside of your area. Because right now in my area and I find new clients through word of mouth people know that I am a good and reliable person to stay in their house. Not sure how to get set up overseas although I would love to!

Hi there

I also received an Associate degree a few months ago. Most of my friends went to a university, but I decided to join WA and open an online business. College is very expensive, and I don't know if a BA degree can guarantee a steady income.

I think a college degree is like a high school diploma now. I've seen some college grads are working in the coffee shop and fast food restaurant in my city.

You have a beautiful site. I really enjoy reading your blogs. I look forward to reading your posts in WA, and will revisit your site for more interesting posts.

Have a lovely day,
Peter

Hi Peter,

That was mainly my reasoning too. I had always thought I was going to go to university but when I got to that point I realized you don't have to have a degree to be really successful, plus I really couldn't afford one. Unless I was going to be a doctor or some profession along those lines that I absolutely need a degree in order to do I decided that university just wasn't the right path to take. I am super happy with my decision! It was the best decision of my life so far. I've been around the world met so many amazing people and I'm doing what I want to be doing :) The best advice I get give is don't let people put you down or tell you otherwise and invest in yourself! Become the best you can be and your business will follow.
Best of luck to you and much success :)

Hi Brianna Im Alex I just signed up to WA week and a half ago.
Congratulations on your first commission.
I am just going through the steps and am on level 2.
I am too looking forward to my first commission too and am taking time to diligently set up and go through the WA program to get as much info as possible.
How did you feel getting that first commission?
I am currently off sick from work after having an accident and breaking my arm. I am looking to use my spare time to concentrate on my internet marketing.
All the best with your business!

Hello!
Everything is going well, thanks! My site is coming along nicely, although I do wish I would've worked a bit more hard on it like I was planning. But I'm getting back into the swing of things! I'm already living my dream and doing lots of traveling. I love that having this online business that I am able to travel and am not tied down. My offline business has been doing very well and on Saturday I leave for Germany and Austria!

Thanks for the follow!

I also joined WA in hopes of being able to raise money to fund my future travels!

Gee, when I was 18 there was nothing like this! The internet was in its very beginning stages (if it was even out yet..this was 1989) and nobody thought of making money online..if anyone knew what "online" was...lol

Hi Brianna!!!

I'm so impressed with you....really! I can't remember what I was thinking at the age of 18, but it definitely was NOT anything to do with being an entrepreneur. There are countless people of my generation, that would LOVE to turn back that clock and do it all over again. You're in an excellent position; whatever you're doing that's working, keep at it! You're inspiring so many generations, without even knowing it.

P.S. We have some things in common: love for dogs, swimming, skiing and drawing. As much as I love water, I've never tried surfing, which is really weird.

Veronica,
Thanks for your comment! There is really not much of a social life when you complete a two year degree in one year :p so there have been some sacrifices, but it has been totally worth it. It's been hard work to get where I am at, especially being my age and most people just going off to college including all of my friends. I find it hard sometimes when people ask where I'm going to university like it's the "norm" and when I explain what I'm doing instead, I sometimes get the feeling that they don't think I can do it or get a good income not going to college. I can't wait to prove them wrong! Comments like yours really inspire me and help reinforce that the decision I made was a good one. Thank you!

Trust in the dreams that are on your heart Brianna. I've had to learn that the hard way; not everyone will accept or understand, and that's OK. There's a 30 year gap between the two of us, and, still, there are times when I feel insecure, especially when most of my friends have that 9 to 5, with the "benefits". Granted, many are able to take trips that I can't take right now, but, their trips come at a price because they have to get permermission from a boss, when they can take the trips and for how long. I'm grateful for all the jobs that I''ve had iver the years, and I don't look down on anyone who has one. I just know, that is not for me. Stay on your path Brianna, and never feel as if you have to explain or apoligize for walking down the path "less traveled". You're awesome!!!

Hi Brianna,

It's nice to see the logic you put into your decision to not go the conventional path with school. The 'College Conspiracy' on youtube has a lot of super helpful facts about college vs working right out of high school.

When I was 18 (12 years ago, time goes quick), I chose to start my own business instead of school. It's important to learn that while college may not be a smart path to take, learning, and educating yourself in business is still extremely important. The more you know, the better off your business will be.

You are in a great place to start, when in doubt, surround yourself with a bunch of self made millionaires because if you listen to what they say, and do what they do, you should have what they have.

Best wishes-
Pete
