Hey guys, I'm still working on it but I've gotten my site basics up and running! Brianbookout.com Please check it out and let me know what you think so far. Should I change the images? Am I infringing on copyrights? How's the content? Am still waiting to hear back from some affiliate programs that I've applied to so there aren't as many links as I'd like to have yet.
I also need to get some guest posts, comments, etc. but it's a start!

Huh, I had no idea we aren't allowed. What is this section for then? Seems pointless. I thought blog posts only show to my 'network', ppl that are following me...
If you read Kyle's no no spam post you will get all the rules.
So I looked up some posts and threads on the blog rules.
This is Kyle's comment from one concerning changing the rules to allow us to add links in blog posts,
"We are a spam free community, we do allow people to post their websites if they are having a discussion or asking for help, but self promotion should be reserved for your external websites, or within external communities that allow that sort of thing."
Clearly I was asking for suggestions in my post, not promoting my site. Thanks for informing me what the rules are though Geoffrey! =)
