My Status:I started posting seriously back in November 2016. To date, I'm still trying to build traffic and have not earned a dime. I've sent more than 70 link clicks to Amazon but no sales yet. I'm posting 3 times each week and spending most of my time building quality content. Focusing on low-hanging fruit keywords.Posting to a page on Facebook and using their "Boosts" to boost traffic. Posting to Google +1 and Twitter, but need to put more effort into building communities in all three. Not re

Lately, I've been trying to focus on low hanging fruit using the Keyword Tool. Looking for keyword phrases that have at least 50 searches and fewer than 50 Competitive score.According to Kyle's training, the low competitive score means you have a better chance at picking up traffic than competing in a big category with lots of competition.I keep putting in phrases into the Tool that are relevant to my niche, which is helping older people build muscle to fight aging. When I find a phrase that is

Just getting back on my feet after a harrowing 8 day stay in the hospital.Went in for what was supposed to be routine, out-patient surgery. Something still inexplicable happened and my vitals went to critical. Intensive Care is no fun.But I'm back. Not full speed. But back. Grateful. On a positive front, I had 8 days with zero political news to process. That was a blessing!Meanwhile, my ranking dropped more than 60 points at WA. Guess that doesn't take long to happen. I've read the posts about W

First tried Facebook Boost in November and have been using it sparingly since then.Recently had a post that started to generate lots of hits on links, so I spent a whopping total of $20 on it. Current campaign is about to end.It did a good job generating link clicks. I'm 90 days into the WA program and still have 0 sales to show for it. Focusing on "low hanging fruit" keywords. My niche has nothing to do with selling WA or marketing. I'm focused solely on older people building muscle to fight a

Read somewhere that January is a rough month for many people with high rates of all kinds of terrible things. I'm fitting right in lately. Plus I'm scheduled for a surgery later this week that I've been forewarned will be painful. So, I'm stockpiling posts now in just in case writing is difficult in the next week or two.I finished the WA initial training last month and I have to admit I feel a bit disconnected from WA now. I'm spending almost full time creating content for my site and that's go

Got an email from Amazon a while back saying I was accepted. That's good because for right now, they're my only affiliate (still pretty new to this). Then I got an email early this morning saying I was getting the boot. Referenced a lot of boilerplate language that it said I may be violating. Yikes! Panic.Wrote Kyle a note about it in panic mode (since took it back). Then I went to the WA resources and started typing. Found a post where it was said that if you call Amazon and speak to them you c

You've probably already heard that Yahoo was hacked again, in a huge way, and is advising most users to change their passwords. Not so easily done in some cases. In my situation, I spent hours on the phone and online with AT&T reps trying to get this simple task done. The problem: Yahoo is connected to both AT&T and Direct TV. If you're lucky enough to have accounts with all 3 like me, you've got a potentially sticky situation. To change my password, Yahoo automatically redirects me into A

Kyle gave me a prod to go after low hanging fruit. And to look for Keyword phrases that:Search = 50 PlusCompetition = Minus 100So, this week so far I've posted 3 times with Keyword phrases that are very relevant to my niche with profiles like this:104 Search 4 Competition96 Search 8 Competition112 Search 91 CompetitionI'm excited to watch these posts to see what happens. The low hanging fruit concept is sound: It's better to reduce the competitive noise than to try, as a relative newcomer, and

Lately, when I go to Amazon to copy an affiliate link for a product review, I get two different links depending on what I click. The little yellow box to the far right of the product listing: If I click "GET LINK" it will take me to a window with a large link to highlight and copy. However, that link fails in my post. If instead, if I click the arrow in the box right next to GET LINK, it will open a slightly smaller window with a link to highlight and copy. This one works in the post.

I'm still learning the basics and still find myself a bit boggled at times. Lately, I've been exploring Facebook Boosts. It's a fairly inexpensive way to get some traffic to your site and easy to setup. You can target ages, genders, geographies and interests. It will track likes and visits, or focus on getting links inside the post clicked. I've just been dabbling. $5 here, $10 there sort of thing. Yesterday, FB interrupted me with a warning that I had not installed a FB pixel on my site. This i
