Blog Post Tags will not effect your Ranking but Traffic.
Hello friends, nice to get connected once again through this tiny blog feature of WA. Well on the other day, I realised that I haven't tagged many of my blog posts and guess what I was thinking of my self Ho.. my God I missed a important feature that might effect my google ranking.. In fact some posts out there were shouting loud to tag posts for better ranking.
However just today, I learned that it is not ranking but it would certainly effect traffic. What do you mean by it.
Example: You wrote an excellent article about 'mango shake' and its benefits. I read your article and said "What an article.. this guy knows every thing about mangoes".
After reading your article, I see that there are two tags at the bottom of the page - "fruits", and "mango shake". Well I immediately click on "fruits" to see what else you have to say on that topic.
Now, this may be a ridiculous example, but I am sure you got the point. Tags create traffic, and traffic increases your SEO ranking at later stage. So having useful (and not overdone) tag navigation will increase traffic flow on your site, reduce the number of people who come for one article and then leave (we all hate Bouncing rate...Don't we?).
