Making the Switch on SEO Plugins

I upgraded WordPress this morning to the latest version and upgraded all my plugins too. It seems the new update and all in one seo were not jiving here an WA . I decided to make the move and deactivate All in One SEO and add the SEO Framework plugin.

All seems well again. This particular website was a site built way before the recommendations were made at WA to use SEO framework instead of all in one. I should have done this a long time ago

I have more sites to check and will get to them as soon as time permits.

I am looking forward to seeing if it makes a difference in load times and search engine performance.

As a long time user of all in one, I may need to switch as well. I have had a few issues with it lately.
I’m hesitant to switch as I’m worried it will mess things up.
Was it easy to make the switch?

I deactivated a-i-o, then installed and activated seo framework. checked the settings and let it fly.. hoping I haven't missed anything serious. I think it pulled some of my all in one stuff.. I didnt take timme to wait for support.. I couldnt post. all in one was crashing my site with new wordpress update

Yeah, AIO crashed my site at the last update. I had to get support to sort it out.
Another question for you, if you don't mind, does the SEO framework allow you to input your Google analytics code and other codes such as Pinterest?
Thanks.

I am glad to hear that, Bo, and I hope things keep moving forward!

RankMath has been my choice. While on sale, I bought the Pro version for $60 per year, which covers all my sites. Technically I don't need to use an SEO Plugin with the theme I use. But still, the biggest advantage to using an SEO plugin is that your SEO data is stored and backed up. In the instance where you need to migrate your site, it will all transfer easily.

I looked at thatwhile back.. kind of freaked out when rankmath wanted full access to my google profile not just seacrh console. Maybe things changed? It seems that rankmath was asking for access to everything associated with my google profile.
