How Technology Is Changing Our Lives - Is It Better

I just want to start by saying, this is not a post debating whether technology advancement is either good or bad. Truthfully, the answer is both. It all comes down to application and how much we as humans rely on it.

That being said, technology IS changing our lives whether we like it or not. In this age of Artificial Intelligence, it is practically unavoidable. The more AI becomes normalized, the more it is assimilated into our lifestyles.

THE GOOD OLD DAYS TO THE SOMEWHAT GOOD NEW DAYS

It's undeniable that when we (most of us) were kids, life was more simple, less chaotic and more relaxed. However, as technology became more integrated into our everyday lives, it helped solve problems and created new ones.

The advancements in technology are increasing every year and soon it will outpace our human growth. But consider this. If you're 30 years old, there has been an iPhone most of your life. Those born in the mid 70s, all had cellphones.

I always have to laugh and also shake my head at how out of touch people are nowadays walking around always looking at their phones. I've seen people walk into doors, trip into water fountains and even walk into traffic.

THEY ARE NOT PHONES...THEY ARE COMPUTERS WITH A PHONE, +

I certainly like the GPS aspect of my handheld computer with all of the latest navigational apps. Reading road maps was so time consuming. Having a camera at all times is a great feature of a smartphone. Imagine selfies in 1912.

It wouldn't matter if you just survived the sinking of your cruise ship the Titanic. If you had the mentality of today, you'd want to get a selfie to show everyone back home how you survived the biggest tragedy of the decade.

Why didn't they think of this selfie technology back in the 60's when I was born. I can think back to when I was 17 in 1980, fresh out of high school and on my first beach party far from home taking pictures with my graduating class.

DANG IT! Why didn't that phone take selfies. There were a lot of hot girls in my class at that beach party. Technology certainly has changed our lives for the better, the not so much better and in a comical way thanks to AI.

Everyone is into taking selfies! Now with AI and the use of either the WA Image Studio or Kre8or AI. everyone and everything is getting into the selfie craze. Imagine visiting the Statue of Liberty in New York and you saw this.

HEY LADY, NOT NOW! Get back up on your pedestal, I paid money to come here. Everyone wants a selfie and the phones we have today are no longer phones when you think of all the things they can do other than make a call.

The first "smartphone" with a front-facing camera was the Motorola A920 in 2003 and in 2010 was the iPhone 4. All previous iPhone models had cameras, just not front-facing. Since then. like technology, selfies grew popular.

WHERE IS ALL OF THIS FAST GROWING TECH HEADING?

There is no denying that advancements in technology, especially AI, are growing faster than what was believed was possible even only a couple of years ago. It's almost like a train picking up speed going down a hill with no brakes.

Though there were many iterations of telephones between these models shown below, what is shown is only 90 years between the first phone 1920s and the last 2010. Things are changing even faster now and will continue to.
