I know I should have posted this in the "Ask a Question" area above. However, you can't post images there and I need you all to see my questions. LOL

HOW MUCH IS MY DOMAIN NAME WORTH?

I bought several domain names about 10 years ago. Some were going to be websites and some will be in the near future. I am in the process of selling one of my old domain names to someone interested in its catchy name. His offer definitely covers my cost of it for 10 years, times three.

So I got to thinking. Is there a free online tool to give me an estimate of what my domain names would be worth? I found a site called HumbleWorth.com and I first want to know if anyone else has used it for getting an idea of what a domain name is worth? Here's what it looks like.

I started searching the estimated values of all of my domain names. Below is an image from the results of a domain name I searched using HumbleWorth. This domain is my friend's website I built for him here at WA. Obviously and as expected, it doesn't look like it's worth anything.

Then I searched for another catchy domain name I have and received the below results. I was shocked to see $1,480 Marketplace Value and $5,220 Brokered Sale Value. Can I assume that this domain name of mine is worth selling? I understand Marketplace, but what is Brokered?

This is one of the few extra domain names that I am looking to sell. I purchased it from NameCheap and that's where it is sitting. I have a couple other domain names that are around $62 Marketplace and $290 Brokered, but I am not looking to sell those any time soon.

Just to Recap... Has anyone used HumbleWorth for pricing the resale of your domain names or even for Domain Flipping? Do the estimates seem accurate enough? And what is Brokered Sale Value? I'm interested to know what all of you think. Leave your comments below.

Hi Robert!

Thanks for sharing!

I tried a couple of my domains. I had not heard of this website before.

I actually haven't tried it yet but will be doing my research on the value to see what my websites cost and even though my website is kinda new. I figure I would do an estimate on there to see its worth.

Thanks for sharing, Robert!

Myra ♥️

You are welcome Myra. Though I didn't expect any would have a value worth selling, I was quite surprised at the value of a couple of my domain names. I hope you find HumbleWorth beneficial to you.

Hi Robert,

On HumbleWorth, the "Brokered Sale Value" is the estimated price a domain name might sell for if a professional broker helps with the sale.

This price is usually higher than what you’d get at an auction or marketplace because brokers are skilled at negotiating the best deals. For example, the domain https://SalesFuturesdotcom has a brokered sale value between $10,800 and $49,600.

These estimates come from AI models that study past sales and other factors that affect a domain’s worth. While these numbers can be a useful guide, actual sale prices depend on demand, how unique the domain is, and what buyers are willing to pay.

Like any pricing tool, HumbleWorth’s estimates should be used along with your own research and knowledge of the market to make smart decisions.

I've never sold any domain on HumbleWorth, but I've made some research in the past.

Hope this will help.

All the best,

Boris

Sales futures.com seems to be out if business

Mark, this is nonexistent website - I’ve mentioned it as example.
Cheers,
Boris

Thanks Boris! That does help. The domain name in question is associated with healthcare and is something that resonates with everyone, especially now after a worldwide pandemic.

It's a short catchy 14-character long domain name that when I created it was not on the minds of most people. Now almost everyone is talking about it. I guess public appeal plays a big role in value.

For example, another short catchy domain name I created but not selling, is "HempSoGood" and now its worth is a few hundred dollars ever since Industrial Hemp became legal here in the U.S.

Would a domain name registrar like GoDaddy and or NameCheap, be considered a Broker? If not, do you know where I can start looking for one and how the process works? Thanks!

Robert,
If you’re looking for a domain broker service, here are a few places to start:
1. GoDaddy Domain Broker Service – GoDaddy does have a domain brokerage service where they negotiate with the current owner on your behalf.
• GoDaddy Domain Broker - https://www.godaddy.com/domains/domain-broker

2. Sedo – One of the largest domain marketplaces, Sedo offers brokerage services to help you acquire domains.
• Sedo Domain Brokerage
https://sedo.com/us/sell-domains/

3. DomainAgents – A domain acquisition service that acts as a neutral third-party negotiator.
• DomainAgents
https://domainagents.com/sellers

How the Domain Broker Process Works

If you’re looking to sell a domain, brokers also help with:
• Appraising your domain’s value.
• Finding potential buyers.
• Negotiating a sale.

Thanks Boris! I appreciate this information.

Pleasure is all mine, Robert 🤩
