Hello from CES 2018 Las Vegas - Thank You WA
There are two ways to get to Las Vegas thanks to Wealthy Affiliate. The main way is how most of us would love to travel there, on an paid for trip as a Super Affiliate. The other way is to pay for the trip yourself from the money you have earned as an affiliate of WA and/or other affiliate programs. This is how and why I am now in Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show 2018.
The one thing I have learned from my many trips to LV is to never stay at a casino hotel in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip if you want to save money. So I am staying at the South Point Casino Hotel on the South Las Vegas Strip, see above image. I am saving a ton of money and it is only an 8 minute drive away from the MGM Grand.
A LOT HAS CHANGED IN 10 YEARS
It has been a little more than 10 since I have attended a CES. I used to go every year from 1989 to 2006 while in the video game industry. If you love any kind of consumer electronics and tech devices, (smartphones, tablets, drones, smart-cars, cameras, computers, VR, high-tech TVs, robotics,...) then CES is the place to be.
I arrived yesterday, Tuesday, January 9th, the first day of the show. It was raining for a good part of the day but today, Wednesday, it was much better. Google has a BIG presence here at the show and have even re-skinned the Las Vegas Monorail with their logo and named it the Google Assistant.
Picture by 9to5GoogleThe last time I came to CES in 2006, the very first iPhone was still a year away from release. The technology I am seeing at this show is blowing me away. I briefly watched a presentation by Kodak and how they will be creating their own cryptocurrency for photographers to get paid for licensing their photos. - What a waste in my opinion.
The technology in smart appliances, smart cars, virtual reality, robotics, and The Wall 146-inch Modular MicroLED TV by Samsung were the highlights of my first two days. Tomorrow I will be checking out new drone technology and the new venture by Volocopter and Intel. To get a glimpse of some of the exciting tech, watch the video below.

Thanks Rob. Sounds interesting. Only attended the ICT World Summit, Geneva in 2004 and loved it and would love to attend that one in Vegas!
It is the heaven of technology in hand-held devices to TVs to self driving cars to personal drone copters...
Hi Robert, it's great to see you go back after all those years.
A fun and educational trip, good for you!
Have fun :)
I am having a blast and getting a ton of niche ideas. Robotics, drones and artificial intelligence are the new and BIG technology niches.
Well it is a viable way. If you cannot get there on WA's dime, get there on your own. If you get WA commissions or commissions from other affiliate sources, save some each month and then pay for your trip.
Sounds like a very educational place to be. That is how you become an expert in your electronics niches.....
Have fun
CES is the place to be for anyone who is in any of the technology niches. The multitude of niche ideas are all over the place here. Talk about information overload.

Thanks, Rob, sounds like an interesting show to go to.
I love Apple gadgets and kitchen ones...My partner uses a drone, that's all I know..It takes great video and photos. We use it a lot in farming.
The drone technology soon to be released will make the current technology obsolete. Totally AWESOME!
