Happy Birthday To Me - 13 Years At Wealthy Affiliate

It has been a wild ride full of ups and downs and some lows and many highs. I joined Wealthy Affiliate 13 years ago today. Though I could turn this post into a very long honest Wealthy Affiliate Review, my tenure speaks for itself.

IS WEALTHY AFFILIATE LEGIT AND WORTH IT?

The simple answer is... 100% YES! When I joined in August 2013, Wealthy Affiliate was just short of 8 years old. It was still way ahead of many other digital marketing online training communities I had researched before joining.

When I was able to join and take the first level of training courses and build my first website for FREE, No Credit Card Required - Just a Valid Email Address - I was sold! I became a Free Starter Member. I was overly impressed!

I stayed as a Free Starter Member for about three weeks before I upgraded to Premium in September 2013. Back then in 2013, the first month of Premium was $19.00. Then the second month and going forward, it was $47.00.

It was always my goal to go yearly and I planned to do so by my November 4th 2013 payment, once my last car payment was complete. However, I learned that at the end of November there was going to be a Black Friday Sale.

So I waited. Paid my November monthly payment of $47.00 and then on November 30, 2013 I took advantage of the Black Friday Yearly Membership Sale of $299.00 per year. The price was prorated to $293.00 for that year.

The Yearly cost for Premium back then was $359.00, and the sale was a $60.00 SAVINGS! I jumped on that! And here is another great reason to be a member of WA. You are grandfathered into your membership cost forever.

That means whatever you paid for your yearly membership when you first started, no matter how many times the price for Premium increases, you will still pay the price you have always paid. Price increases will not apply to you.

WHY I AM NEVER LEAVING WEALTHY AFFILIATE

Other than the reason I mentioned above about being grandfathered into my current yearly membership price, I don't have to worry about paying out my $299.00 per year. The money I get from my WA referrals pays for that.

So with the cost of yearly membership no longer an issue, I can focus on making a clear profit from my niches, my other referrals I bring in and my freelance endeavors I can gain by marketing my skills in AI photo restoration.

There are a ton of opportunities here in Wealthy Affiliate that go beyond that of affiliate marketing. Now with the NEW AI WA about to launch and also Kre8or, I'm looking forward to more opportunities with these two platforms.

When I joined WA in 2013 I was 50 years old, two months before my 51st birthday. Fast forward to now and I will be 64 on October 25th. I'm planning on retiring from my healthcare job by 2028, or sooner if it goes really well here.

This is one reason why I am excited about these new AI-powered creative platforms like Kre8or and the soon to be released NEW WA. Those who don't embrace AI now, will get left behind and it will be harder to succeed online.
