Mind, Matter, and Power
One of my interests is metaphysics. Law of attraction, consciousness, and magik are some of the things I'm eager to learn more about.
Although the abstract nature of these subjects is sort of fun to intellectualize, I probably wouldn't find it half as interesting if my intent were merely to keep it theoretical. I may be interested in metaphysics, but I'm motivated to learn more because of its practical significance.
After all, the better one understands how the mind works and how it influences physical reality, the more power one has.
The word "power" has several definitions. The definition I'm referring to is being able to create one's life circumstances as one wants it to be.
Here's some things I've gathered so far, based on reading and thinking:
- Law of attraction doesn't work unless one believes. That is, one can ask and receive; however, one can't ask, be doubtful, and receive. If one asks but has any doubt whatsoever, one won't receive.
- It's important to focus more on receiving than on asking, since the latter implies want or lack whereas the former implies faith. Get clear about what you want, ask, but let go and put the energy into receiving.
- If one doesn't have belief, e.g. one carries doubt about being able to make a lot of money or that one's website can be successful, then there are several ways to become more sure : 1) Pay attention to inner thoughts and immediately stop it whenever there's a message of doubt. Think of these negative thoughts as if they are landmines to avoid. The more you avoid them, the more you will break the pattern of negative, doubting thoughts. 2) Clarify what your intent or objective is. Know clearly the end result of what you want, and understand clearly what you need to do to get there. 3) Don't complain. Be grateful even for "negative" things because tribulations have silver linings that teach.
- There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe. --The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace Wattles I'm listening to the audio version of this book on YouTube. I plan to listen to it again and again. Every day I listen to it for just about 10 minutes and each time I listen I understand it better and it makes sense. The thinking stuff is the same thinking stuff in which universal intelligence created the planets or universe, I think.
P.S. I may not be the most successful person right now, but I have faith that by continuing to learn more about mind over matter, I will go much further and will die happy and feel that my life had meaning, and that's good enough for me.

Yes, well, I read the book once. I might read it again later on. For now, I find listening to audiobook on YouTube just about 10 minutes a day repeatedly helps me absorb it.
