Already valued at over 100 million dollars and launched during the lock down, Clubhouse is the next big thing in social media and social networking. It has a specific niche - Voice and meets the needs of people uncomfortable at using videos.

What is Clubhouse?

Clubhouse is a new social networking App which was created in March 2020 by two family men. It is voice-based and users enter different rooms to interact, join the conversation and add their opinion to issues. It is an invite only app.

• It is like a Podcast but one where you can join.
• Once you are in the App, you can see several rooms with different conversations.
  
• You do not need an invite to join the rooms, unlike Zoom. You can hop in any room as you wish and hop out when you want.
• The moderator of the room controls the speaking access so you will not be speaking over people.
• You can join conversations in your car, while you are getting on with your work without needing to type anything or be on video.
• Unlike Instagram or Twitter, you don't need to stare at your screen to participate.
• It is perfect for conveying voice messages in the most powerful way through story telling and emotions.
• There is empathy in your message and how you share your story.
• It creates deeper connections with people who listen to your story.

It is currently invite only and on App Store Only

• It is currently in the Beta mode and so it is currently an invitation only app.
• You can sign up now to secure your username and if you have a friend or someone already in the house, they can admit you if they have extra invites.
• The app is planning to be for everyone and they are currently building it.
• It is gaining more traction with A-list celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Kevin Hart joining the rooms.

When you are signed in, you can easily check out the profile of the people in rooms, follow them immediately on the App, find them on social media and reach out to them on Twitter or Instagram.

Voice allows for a deeper connection to people and if you are not comfortable with the other social media networks, this might be for you.

Clubhouse is growing so quickly and this shows that people still place value on direct social and professional interactions with like-minds.
