How to Write a Review For ANY Type of Product
We're going to take for granted you've already chosen a niche and a particular product or products to review.
The first thing you'll need to do is research your product. Find out what others are saying about it, whether good or bad. When you approach your review this way, you're going to be generating an informative review that your readers will value. And, let me add... this kind of research is very easy to do!
Let's take physical products. Just head on over to Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc., and READ! Take notes of your products features and benefits. Is there a warranty or vital specifications? Take a look at the customer reviews, are they good, bad or ugly!
If you are reviewing a digital product, visit the product sales page(s) and once again, take note of the products features and benefits. Also, study all the testimonials.
Okay, let's head on over to Google and do a search about your product to discover if there are any more little gems you've not uncovered .
There are certain phrases that you can type into Google that work better than others.
- Product name + review
- Product name + scam
- Product name + does it work
- Product name + specifications
Be sure to read everything, take lots of notes and learn about your product!
Next, let's go to the manufacturer's website...
- Product name + website
At this website you're going to need to make sure that your products features, specifications and benefits, are the same as you've already collected.
If not, find out why! You don't need to be placing false information on your website. Also, while at the manufacturer's site, take note of any additional product information you can
obtain. If you have any questions, either call them or send an email. By calling them on the phone or emailing, you'll be able to let any visitors to your site know whether the
customer service and support system at the manufacturer is good or bad, as part of your review.
You could try even more Google phrases such as:
- Product name + buyer guide
- Product name + buyer tips
- Product name + buyer hints, etc.
Why not track down an online copy of your product's instruction manual or user guide if it's possible?
- Product name + model number
- Product name + manual pdf
- Product name + user guide
- Product name + instruction manual
- Product name + pdf download, etc.
Additionally, you can gather information about what people are saying about your product by visiting blogs or forums.
- Product name + blog
- Product name + forum
After you visit these blogs or forums, be sure an make a list of them. This way, you'll be able to go back and leave your own comments with a link back to your website. Although some may not allow linking back, many will.
The point I'm trying to impress upon you is this, by putting in the effort and performing this type of painstaking research, you'll be gaining valuable insider buying tips and
information for your visitors. This type of additional effort is not often found on review sites. Therefore, it will benefit not only your visitor... but YOUR bank account!
Never, ever forget that EVERYTHING you are able to do to INCREASE THE VALUE of your review in your visitors eyes is a definite plus. Why?
Because you'll be building not only credibility, but tremendous TRUST! This is going to set YOUR website far apart from other reviewers in your niche.
Now, I know what you're thinking... "I didn't sign up for all this work!"
But, here's the thing... your goal is to become an expert in your chosen product or products that you're reviewing. This is what will set YOUR REVIEWS
apart from the rest and get you a ton of LOYAL followers. These followers will TRUST AND VALUE your advice and continue to help YOU reach the goals that you've set for yourself and your website!
Now... GET TO WORK!
