Learning to bike,WA and succeeding online
Back in 1975 I was in my first year BSW studies.Since I was a young boy I always wanted to ride a bike like many of my childhood peers. But being 'fat' or pleasantly plump it never happened.I always wondered how could I balance myself without falling off the bicycle.
I guess back then i was resigned to the fact Gersh will never ride a bike.Getting back to 1975 .On campus I had a great friend,Joseph who heard of my long time desire to riding a bike.He promised to teach me. One day Joseph appeared with an old green bike he said Gersh get on it today your going to learn. Immediately I felt that childhood fear arousing in me 'YOU'LL FALL OFF YOU KNOW YOU CAN'T RIDE". Fortunately for me Joseph was determined and knew that I was to succeed. So I hoisted myself on the bike,Joe said you start pedaling and don't look back I'm holding on to the back rack on the bike.I started to progress amazed that I'm not falling off.Suddenly after about two minutes of pedaling I hear Joe calling me I quickly turned around and saw Joe a good distance behind . WOW I couldn't believe I DID IT (OK i almost crashed till I realized that I better make use of the brakes!),but folks that was a turning point in my life. It wasn't the fact that I was finally riding ,no it was the realization that those self instilled fears had kept me down all those years.Thirty eight years have passed and I'm still pedaling away enjoying every moment and I hope that I will have the strength to continue for many years to come.
When I think of online marketing and WA I equate it with this story.WA is Joe holding on to me guiding and encouraging to succeed..The fears of 'How can you do it' or Your not cut out for business" " Look at the competition so much to learn".You can't write, what do you have to offer". Sounds familiar well for me online is a bicycle and I'm going to ride her successfully. How ,you might ask as my long time friend till this day said back then' start pedaling and don't look back! May we all be successful.

Great analogy. Often it does take just a starting push and an encouraging word to get you on your way.
