Finding free photos/images for your website
Hi Guys,
I've only just started my training and website and I want to keep my costs as low as possible.
On sites which hold stock photos there's a price to pay for good images and we all need good images for our sites to looking professional. I would love to just 'save image as...' on Google images but at the end of the day I don't want my website to be shut down or worse case scenario I don't want to be sued for using someone's images without permission.
So I decided to do something I've never done before.
Free photos. Yes Really!!
I went to my Facebook friends and family and asked them if I could use some of their photos. Think about it. People love to take pictures of themselves, their new hair do, their holidays, their pets etc etc.
There is a wealth of photographs ripe of the picking.
It is also a way to promote your site to your friends and family therefore building more traffic to your site and increasing your Google rankings.
Also I know a few semi-professional photographers so I've offered to promote them on my website in exchange for some images.
You can also take your own. Don't underestimate yourself some of your images can turn out quite artistic.

Excellent idea! I do need to take more pictures around town. We have original content, why not original images? Thanks for sharing.
