Social Media And It's Potential In Business - A beginners perspective

Hi everyone,

Oh, I have always used social media. To like, to Lmao, to Nkt..... Just to socialize, as the term suggests we do.

As far as social media use in business is concerned, I am relatively new. No, am horn green!. Lemme me just out and say it....

I read somewhere here that there are communities and pages in Facebook. That they are different in function and I even went ahead to read some great advice( more of a tip) on how to utilize them in promoting my business.

True to my form, I delved knee and neck deep into research in that aspect of social media. My mission: How can I use the various platforms to get free advertising and traffic to my little baby website here?

I know of three;

a) Facebook

b) Twitter

c) LinkedIn

For unpaid advertising, these proved a bit hard. It seems they don't take kindly, when you sprinkle referral URL's AL over the tidy article you may post so informatively there. They sure aren't happy to help you along in your pitch to make your business gig popular using their pages. In any case, not when you want that for free!

At least in there, I can do what am good at; write. About beginners and best affiliate marketing practices & programs.( That's my niche). I looked at Instagram, pretty ladies pics, lots of them!. Pin interest..... Acres of pictures in scrolls of rows. How do I turn around my content pitch and tell it in images only?

Am still on my way, headed to YouTube, and see about them videos in there........

I humbly ask, and pray somebody tell: what is the best way to utilize all these platforms in affiliate marketing?. And more so, for free.

Us, of the beginners INC, could do with a bit of mentoring and training on use of social media for leveraging our business.

Oh, I finally landed on a new one. Hope you have heard of it. Webtalk. At least in there I found something different. At web talk, you have your own profile, just like LinkedIn and FB. And it allows for you to advertise and share your business links and URL's freely!

It's maybe a blend of the two? It presents itself as a platform for online business and marketers. It is at beta testing and even talks of giving commissions to its users on referrals and advertising. It is operating on a point earning system.

I would really want to draw on the WA community and the experienced people in here. Before I get in too deep. My good people, I would really appreciate a review or word on webtalk.

It's right here if you haven't checked it out or joined up already;

Could it be a good platform for us affiliate marketers?
Could it be another social media asset for affiliate marketers? I would really appreciate your opinion on this.

Much love to you all
My deep regards
Billy

Never heard of it

It's new and on Beta. They have great user profile and allow links. They pay commissions on adverts and referrals. They are more on business social interaction. Like a blend btwn lnkdin and FB. I joined up and looked around.
My regards.

Looked at reviews probably at best 5/10
Think I’ll give it a miss Billy
