How Do You Handle Yabuts?

The question posed in the title is a really unique one. I'll lay odds that most of you have never heard of something called a Yabut. Is it an animal? Vegetable? Alien? Nope; none of the above.
Think about this. You are a member of WA, working on your sites, blogs and content, when along comes a Yabut. Suddenly, you are in panic mode or getting angry, trying to do damage control, looking for who to blame for the problem(s) this Yabut has caused. It may be a sudden second guessing of what you wrote. "Did I really get across what I wanted to say?" or "Was I overly harsh in my comments and criticism of so-and-so's site?" It may be some friend who, intentionally or not, has thrown your plans into a spiral.

What is a Yabut? It's all the little niggling thoughts, deeds and other negative stuff that has been heaped upon you over the years, enough to make you second guess yourself and listen to other negative stuff, instead of listening to and doing what's right for you. Someone will come up to you and say that you are doing a great job and to keep it up. You say, "Yabut I'm really not sure it I'm doing it right." Or somebody says, "You just need a bit of this or that and your site will sing." You know that they are right. You say, "Yabut, what if it doesn't do the trick?"
You see where I'm headed with this? If something is truly advantageous to you and you know that it is, all you should be doing is getting it done. Don't let Yabuts get in the way. If someone said that they were going to give you the desires of your heart and all you had to do was stand there and receive them, would you say, "Yabut I don't think I deserve them. I may want them, but I don't deserve them." You just took yourself out of the line of blessing and into the hole of despair. Yabuts are the things that make your gift horse of no effect. A Yabut will take that horse and look it in the mouth and find fault.
What I am saying is that, of all things getting in the way of your success, the Yabut is the creature we most want to avoid. DON'T question when you are given solid advice or expert comments. DON'T backtrack because you see a 'possible' stumblingblock or a dip in the terrain you have to traverse. Those things are what raise up your doubts, fears and mistrust of your own abilities. A Yabut can be triggered by an old thought pattern, a word from someone which triggers an old fear, insecurity or prejudice or simply a sudden onslaught of overwhelming worry about where you are headed and why and what you are doing here in WA.
When you feel one coming around, blog and let everyone know that you are having a bad day, mind burp or whatever you want to call it. There are many of us who can and will try to help keep the Yabuts at bay. Don't be fooled. Even the most positive people have 'Yabut days'. think of former British Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain when he held up that infamous piece of paper and said it meant "Peace in our time." It's what you do with the creature that separates the winners from the losers and wannabe's. Make this a no Yabut zone in your life and you will be better for it. No second guessing, self-esteem problems or other such negative vibes.
