Finally! Measuring Cups That Truly Measure Up!

Recently, I received a 7-piece set of stainless steel measuring cups from Amazon. They are made by KitchenMade, and are the finest I have seen since I retired from the restaurant trade. I have used them now for a few days and am amazed that they are just as accurate as my own Professional Units which I won't let anyone touch.

They are made from heavy, tarnish-free stainless steel, with the mirror finish, all the measurements on the sides and, a big plus here, the larger cups also have the smaller measurements engraved on them as well. In comparing them to my own chef's set, I found them to be sturdy, very accurate measure for measure with my cups and also easy to keep together due to the lock ring that holds them all.

A unique feature is the pouring lip; a small tab that sticks out about 1/16 " and prevents the dripping that accompanies most measuring operations. The flat bottoms prevent spillage as well and the handles will never come off due to the fact that the cups are made in one piece, with the handles as part of the whole structure. I am very happy with the quality, performance and ease of use of this product and highly recommend it to all who follow my website and blog.

They can be purchased at: https://www.amazon.ca/Measuring-Cups-Piece-Stainless-KitchenMade/dp/B0141O5GS6

Hmmm...that's why I love cooking but hate baking. I also like to guess and dump rather than measure.
But I have a daughter that bakes like a baking goddess and she may appreciate a set of these for her birthday.
Thanks for the suggestion Ian.

Do you have any plans for adding equipment recommendations on your web site?

Yes. I blogged this one on there. There are a lot of pieces that I am testing and looking at, and they will be added as I finish my research.

When I cook, I just throw in a cup of this and a pinch of that. Somehow, my husband has survived almost 30 years of marriage with me. And I have done most of the cooking. But I can never duplicate what I conjured up. Variety is the spice of life when it comes to my cooking.

Perhaps accurate measuring cups might help. But I would have to precisely use them. Precision cooking is just not my style. Hope it works for you. Someone has to be able to duplicate delicious meals.

All the best and enjoy your cooking.

You are so right Myra. I normally use the 'dash & grab' style, but for certain foods and pastries precision makes all the difference in flavor, texture and appearance. That's why I love these.

My husband is an engineer with an engineer mind. He precisely measures his coffee, water, sugar and cream when making a cup of coffee - each and every time. I told him about these measuring cups and he would appreciate them. When he does cook, he likes to measure everything exactly and precisely. When he cooks, I stay out the kitchen, but his cooking is tasty. All the best to you.

A-a-a-a-a-ah!! A man after my own heart. I love him already.

I may just sell them through Amazon or locally if I can. The process is not hard, but I just had to pass this on. It's not often we can get chef-quality equipment for the home and at a great price. I'm impressed.

I am glad you found something tat you like.

Thanks for that Ian, good equipment is an essential for any cook.:-))

Advice from a professional.

Much appreciated, thank you!!!

Good for you, Ian! There's nothing more irritating than a bad measuring cup when you're trying to cook!

I think George may be on to something

Have you considered sourcing them wholesale and selling them on Amazon yourself?
