What a Beautiful Day in Georgia
What a beautiful day we have been blessed with on this 28th day of October, 2023! Here in Augusta, Georgia the sunshine is radiantly flowing through the window shudders in my home. The birds are singing with their most beautiful tunes.
Usually we have brilliantly colored cardinals that gather in our backyard. Today is no exception, the males (which are bright red all over) are swooping back and forth from tree limbs to the long fence that runs along my back yard. Sometimes they chase the gray squirrel that lives in a nest high up in a tall pine tree.
I guess I should name the gray squirrel since he scampers, not only along the fence but on top of my house and on every window daily. He loves to jump on the roof of my screen porch as it is made of tin and makes crazy noises when he runs across it. It's like he is showing off for me.
Oh yeah, in the hanging basket hanging on my front porch is a mama lizzard. How do I know it's a mama? There are about four or five baby lizzards cuddled up in the plant that she takes care of. Mama lizzard is very inquisitive, as I have a Ring doorbell that she loves to look into, which makes the Ring chimes go off constantly. The Ring AI thinks she is a human! Who am I to tell it any different?
These are some of the wild creatures living in my yard and giving me some joy everyday. Georgia is awesome! I wouldn't want to live anywhere else or at least I don't think so. I was born and raised in Georgia. I am a Georgia Peach and a Southern Belle and proud of it.
Ya'll have a good day and bless your hearts!

Sounds awesome Barbara! Appreciate the share my friend and enjoy the rest of your weekend! :-)
That's great! Here in Colorado, at the lower elevations, we are enjoying our first snowfall of the season, hoping for 5". I know my Huskies are hoping we get that much!
Thanks Jeannine,
Not sure I could man the snow. If (and I mean If) we get any snow/ice, everything closes down because we don't know how to drive in it!!
Be blessed,
Barbara
Yeah, we chuckle about that. In the south, an inch of snows shuts everything down. In Colorado, we'll go running in shorts with only an inch of snow!
Oh yeah, and we got nearly 10" of snow. But that's the other thing about Colorado - much of it has melted already.
It is funny, Jeannine. We had 80 degrees all weekend. I think it is suppose to dip a little by Wednesday.
Hope ya'll enjoyed your 10" of snow!
Barbara
My Siberian Huskies were thrilled! I couldn't get them to come back inside the house for hours.

My sister was living in Georgia, Barbara, and whenever we are at her house I see those beautiful birds in her backyard. They are fun to watch. We were there in July and probably be back in March. House is on the market and waiting for it to get sold - very quiet and neat neighborhood. People are very nice.
Are you moving to Georgia? If so, you have made a wonderful choice!! Let me know.
No, just going there to take care of my sister’s personal matters and she is selling her house. I live in California and not moving. Thanks for asking.
Cheers,
Evelyn
