Community Badges: Benefits
So, I just received a community badge... it's a nice feeling. I decided to search for a good definition of a badge. I didn't quite find what I was looking for. So, I'll just state what a badge is to me:
A badge is a marker or indicator of progress made.
It's a reward of not giving up.
It's a show of gratitude.
It's a sign that you are really trying.
It's a reminder of your great work, time and effort
It's a good "picker upper"... An energy boost!
"Every step forward is a step in the right direction" ...Because atleast you're stepping, lol. Mentally they spark a feeling of some type of accomplishment and it encourages.
It is all those things to me. That's just my take on it. What is yours? What do badges really represent?

In life when you have a goal that you want to achieve, every little step forward count. Standing still is discouraging because there is no progress. Keep moving no matter how slow you are it helps and encourage to pull-up your socks because you can see the progress.
