On the road again. fun and success
Progress:
Well here I am at last-reaching the end of Level 2 in Wealthy Affiliate. And what a wonderful encouragement I found in Kyle's words-just waiting for me to make it thus far.
I'd been progressing steadily through the modules ; sometimes finding it easy; sometimes difficult and sometimes completely overwhelming. Just when I thought I was never going to understand keywords and success or finding my niche market I was totally stunned by a blow from left field. Some very dodgy business in my workplace involving some leading "experts" who knew better. And who have caused a lot of grief to a needy family. So I took a week off from WA to focus on this other problem.
And now I'm back. Problem in the hands of lawyers and me? I'm on the WA road again.
I've learned so much and loved it all, even the challenges. I can do things now that I never even knew existed.
Keywords? Check.
Website optimisation for SEO? Check.
Created a site in my chosen niche? Well this one was easy. Just a visible expression of my ongoing passion for helping rescue dogs make it in the world of humans.
Do you know what amazes me most? I'm having so much fun that actually learning to make some money has become just another part of the journey and not the ultimate goal I once thought it was. Now for me the ultimate destination is about helping others. The other people on this WA journey and ....dogs. Naturally.
Niche:
My niche is about providing a service to those wonderful brave people who take home a rescue dog. A dog without a home, without much future, but never without hope. I don't think I've ever met a dog who has lost all hope. There is always something to wag your tail about! Never losing hope. I think we can all learn from that.
Successes:
I got ranked in Google! I got ranked in Google! I got ...enough of that. My successes are not about rankings or making money-not yet anyway. My sweetest success so far has been to read a comment on my site where someone said they learned something knew about dogs from one of my posts. Something of value. That encourages me to keep writing.
Another success is just recognising how much knowledge I have gained about running a website and about my own rescue dog Riley. As I write about him I gain much more clarity about what the world is like from his perspective and my relationship with him deepens. What could be better?
Plans and Goals:
Next three months: Keep on learning.
Keep on sharing doggy information.
Start earning some money.
Next six months: Continue learning.
Continue sharing and helping.
Reach Ambassador status.
Start achieving regular income.
Drop work commitments back to three days instead of five.

Hi Beverly,
You are progressing well and have a noble niche , I believe it will work well . I just wrote a comment on a blog post review on a book on training dogs.
I think you have a good niche. Just keep working and be active in other members blog post discussion and you will receive more helps when needed.
We need to make ourselves visible to the crowd .
Hi Beverley
Clearly you are going to have great success at this business and you deserve it, with your primary focus on helping others.
All the best for the future.
Cheers
