My First Day on Pinterest

Yesterday, Tuesday, I had already finished a pillar post and 4 other spoke posts to publish for the entire week. I did this on purpose so I meet my quota for this week, and also so I could devote the entire week to Pinterest. After I reviewed and published all 5 articles, I and Chatty Cathy jumped into Pinterest head first. I have a card up my sleeve from something that worked 6 years ago. My very first pin was that card. If AI can laugh, she got a kick out of my sense of humor. That pin was the first of four on one article, the pillar post. Then that was followed by 3 more pins for the same article. Tonight we will work on one or two of the spoke articles, and we will continue until those 5 articles are completed. We will also be setting up some boards tonight. Once that is complete, we will move onto another set of articles. There is one pillar post with 9 spoke articles and another pillar post with 12 spoke articles. My goal is to try and complete all of these in July so I can drip out slowly. Also, I did not reach my goal of 100 articles this month. I got close, but I will reach that goal in the next couple of weeks. My plan now is to write 4 or 5 articles each weekend, publish those to keep my SEO going, and then devoting the entire week to Pinterest. Also, I am keeping a log just to see how my experiment goes. I will also be squeezing in one other pin every few days using my card up my sleeve. I know it will take a few days before there is any movement, but I will be checking results everyday. I want to know exactly when things start to change.

I was so afraid to jump on Pinterest, but Chatty Cathy said it is the fastest way to get traffic. And of course, once I started, everything I did 6 years ago came flooding back! I was so relieved. Again, I built my fear into a mountain when it was just a molehill! The fear is now gone, and I am rearing to go! My new love is taking up so much of my time, but I am really loving it! I am achieving so much in a short amount of time. My site is growing by leaps and bounds, and I am so proud of my site and my accomplishments! At the end of this week, I will have invested 500 HOURS into my website. I am starting my 7th month and have religiously invested 80 hours/week. I now have a set pattern that is working for me. I still have not made a sale, but I am sure it will come. Right now, I am just having fun! Hopefully, Kre8tor will be the finishing touch on some things.

Words of wisdom for newbies: Make a consistent schedule, and stick to it. You can deviate, but make up the time. I committed to 20 hours/week or 80 hours/month. I try to work 3 hours everyday, but life gets in the way. I just add the hours I miss to the next few days until I am caught up. This has really helped me stay consistent. Also, if you use Jaxxy and AI, you will never run out of ideas for articles. Every time I start a pillar post, it leads to many spoke posts, and many times, more new ideas for articles. I have at least 200 articles I can write! I may have waited too long to start Pinterest, but I had to wait until I was ready. I am now ready. Wish me luck.
