Writing Quality Page or Post

Writing quality page or post is very important in creating a successful online business. One of the keys to this is "readability."

In our trainings, readability is emphasized over and over to ensure that we consider the elements necessary in writing great contents.

I reviewed the training on the topic and the criteria are the same for both the experts and the newbies. I need to remind myself as well that in order to write a beautifully readable content, I have to bear in mind the following:

Criterion #1. Keep the paragraphs short.

Going through web pages, readers don't bother reading way too long, boring paragraphs. They will just scan through and leave the page. You can always chop the paragraphs down into short ones that are pleasant to the eyes.

Criterion #2. Use headings to organize your topics.

Headings can be compared to captions to your paragraphs that will give the readers an idea of what to expect in the succeeding section. These will keep your page or post in an organized structure.

In most cases, readers will scan the page first. Giving your paragraphs captivating headings will make them want to read what's in store for them.

Criterion #3. Write in conversational language.

The purpose of your business is to gain traffic. In other words, you want to make conversions out of your website visitors. Hence, you should be able to help your visitors find their needs by making them easily understand what you have to offer them. It is simply engaging in a conversation with them in person using everyday language.

Criterion #4. Create alluring titles.

At first glance, you should be able to attract visitors via the title of your page or post. You can either make it or break it in the first ten seconds of your visitors' clicks. So, play with words. Probably make some rhymes that will give your title a ring to it!

Criterion #5. Make use of relevant image.

I have noticed that many articles are filled with images that has nothing to do with the content. They are placed simply to fill up space or probably for the sake of having images. It is important that you insert images appropriate and applicable to the topic you are writing about.

Criterion #6. The proper choice of text and background.

This may seem very elementary. But keeping your content in black (or dark shades of grey) and white will definitely not strain the eyes. Many readers just leave a website because it is hard for them to read the content. So, make it plain and simple for readers to linger and love reading your writing piece.

Happy writing y'all!

Cheers,

Betcha

Good tips, Betcha. :)

Thanks, Rick!

Thank you for this great lesson!

You're very welcome, Rowena. I'm glad you came by. So, how are you doing thus far in your website? Have a wonderful time here! Feel free to get in touch anytime.

Excellent advice. And thank you for not making me watch it on video or listen on audio. I am a fast reader and like that I can get useful info without disturbing the peace in my home.

Hi Linda, thanks for your chime. I think we are on the same boat. I am not a good reader, though. But I do prefer reading than listening to audios and videos. Like you said, our home needs some peace! Lol.

Hi Betcha,
Every thing you said was right on point!! You must be able to get your point across to the reader, and make them want to read more of your article. Pictures and plain talk are key in keeping someone interested in the topic. Thanks so much for the insight. Have a great day. Take care my friend.
Mary

HI Mary, thanks for chiming in. It's always nice to hear from you. You take care as well. It's almost weekend. Hang in there and enjoy yet another day!

Thanks for such educational post, Betcha.

My pleasure, Sheila. Nice to hear from you. How are you doing thus far? Have a wonderful WA time!

You're welcome, Betcha. I think I'm holding on; thanks much. I wish you the very same.

Yeah, hang in there. Keep moving on and everything will fall into place when you get the hang of this business. We all started as newbies at some point. And you will definitely get through it with so much success!

Thank you, Betcha; you're so kind.

Thanks. I have been wondering about readability.

You're very welcome, James. I'm glad to have given some clarifications about it. Enjoy writing!

Great info and advice, thanks buddy.

You're very welcome, Mike!

Thanks for the tips Betcha. I'm really having trouble writing a coherent article...

You're welcome, Peter. Coherence is something hard to work on. Putting words together that can flow from one paragraph to the next takes a lot of skills. But with constant practice you can definitely work it out.

thanks for the support Betcha. I will keep trying and one day I will succeed!

Definitely! As premium member, you have all the benefits and all the tools you need to enhance your online business. Keep moving on with the lessons until you get to the top!

Criterion #3 in my case is something I really need to look at.

Just practice writing. With English as my second language, it is definitely something that I am also struggling with. I've been writing research papers and it's difficult to switch from formal to conversational english. For some it is a talent, for many it has to be learned. But it can be done just like any other skills.
Way to go, Alit. You can do it!

Thanks Betcha, as they said practice make perfect.
If you can I believe I can too :))

Definitely, Alit! You have all the tools you need to become successful in your online business. Keep moving onward and upward!

A great checklist Betcha :)

Thanks, Jude. Enjoy your day!
