In this era, there's no way that you can avoid having to make a presentation to a group of people. It could be to group of possible prospects, business partners or co-managers etc. How often do you make a presentation? If you are in business, it's inevitable that you can make a business presentation from time to time. It can be a challenge if you don't know how to go about it. Let me share with you some key steps for creating a great business presentation:

Brainstorm Ideas

• Brainstorm some ideas about what you want to present.
• Jot down those ideas and analyze them to identify the main key ones.

Identify your key message and supporting facts

• You key messages involves what you want to convey to your audience.
• Supporting facts could be statistics about happy customers etc.

Select a number of points that will make the case to your audience within the given time

• Make fewer points and make them well.
• Prepare extra supporting material such as statistics, analogies or examples.

Organize Your Points

• Make the logic of presentation clear at all times.
• Place your strongest points first or last.
• Do not bury your best ideas.
• In the opening, state where you are headed and what you want to prove or demonstrate.
• In the body, support your main points with examples, visuals and anecdotes.
• At appropriate intervals, note what you have already covered and where you are about to go.
• To close, present your conclusions and give the audience a call to action.

• Decide how you'll handle them when they arise.
