I have been looking around to find where I go to pay my monthly premium membership bill and I cannot find it. Anyone know where I need to go?

I am having trouble getting to pay my monthly Premium charges. My bank will not accept charges from Canadian business charges unless I give permission when your monthly cahrge is sent. I use only I bank debit card since I can no longer use any other credit cards. Can you send me information when you will send the charge since I can only get payment opened for 1 day. I am at dog1red@earthlink.net or 625 526 6147.

Paypal or credit card. the card CANNOT be prepaid (I found that out). https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/home/my_profile

I have been a WA subscriber for 18 days now, I have worked trielesly trying to get the first version of my first niche website done. I would love your comments on it and maybe s

Nice looking site. :)

Hi. I couldn't find an About Me page, did I miss it? People like to know something about us, especially a niche like this and what led you to make this website. That would be interesting. You will find a lot of your visitors look for this. They want to know who you are and if they can trust you. I think it builds engagement. Hope this helps and all the best to you.

Thanks Rick, The about me page is labeled "The Retro Shutterbug" as that is what I am and I wanted other people to be able to identify a retro shutterbug.

Makes sense now but I'm wondering how many others might miss it. Maybe worth trying for a while the way you have it

Ur site is coming along very nicely! Great Job Ben:)

Thanks! its nice to finaly get some feed back after working on it for a couple weeks.

I really really like it :)

Thanks!

One thing I would suggest is to have each camera model be a post on it's own with the model name as the page title and repeated in the copy, so you have a better chance of it showing up in the search engines. That's the beauty of WordPress. The first four lessons in Getting Started cover that rather well.

Do you mean a blog post that links to the page the camera is on? Or each camera is its own page?

I think the only way you can hope for search engine placement is to have each one on it's own post with the proper SEO they teach us here.

I'm sorry I am still not following you oldbuddy70. Are you saying each camera needs to have its own blog post or their own page? I made a blog post listing all of the digital cameras on the page. But are you saying they need to have their own individual blog posts?

Let me give you an example. If someone went to Google and did a search for Olympus Pen EP-5, since all you have now is a title on a photo grouped with a bunch of other photos you get ZERO JUICE to place for that search term. If you have a separate blog post with a nice review and good copy to support it, then title the post Olympus Pen EP-5 and include the same in the copy for that page, your odds of being listed for Olympus Pen EP-5 go way up.

Of course there are no guarantees since you are in a high demand category with Big Gun competitors like Amazon, but at least you would have a chance to be listed on later pages.

ok, thanks for the explination! I get what you are saying now. Thanks for the tip!

I like your site so far. Keep adding good content.

Cool!

Outstanding! Perfect niche. Maybe play around with the headers a bit..use a little more bold and such but overall a great framework. Especially like the Iphone cases. Excellent graphics and well organized. Nice job.

Thanks! I made the mistake of using a page builder theme and now I have to use their editor if I want changes made. Now that I have the frame work like I want it I have to figure out haw to transpose that framework to be the same in the WA editor.

Sorry, forgot to list the website address... retroshutterbug.com

I am looking for a plugin that gives me a neatly laid out list of buttons that will allow my visitors to Pin my content to their pintrest site and FB. Anyone have a plugin or wi

'Flare' is pretty kewl. Popular.

If it's only Pinterest you're really interested in there is a plug in for the "pin it" button. If you want multi site buttons for sharing, Shareaholic, Social Pop, and Crafty Social allow Pin and FB plus more site options like Twitter and G+.

Don't you just HATE Google+ ??!!! (Leave it to the control freaks at Google to make me feel so out of control !)

Wordpress blocked me from updating my site and gave me a notice of a need to repair (as shown below). I have NO IDEA how to do this, has anyone else ever dealt with this prop

Thank you to everyone on the feed for offering advise and help with my problem. The WA hosting support team was able to fix my problem. They told me that is was a corrupt database file and that the code given to me by WP was useless, however they were able to fix it anyway.

I really appreciate all the help guys!

I am sure I will be leaning on you guys again in the future :)

I got in late on this discussion, but your solution is a 2 minute fix. Look on YouTube for a tutorial on FileZilla (a free FTP client) then download and install it. The message they sent is very clear and once you get n and look at your files, it will be obvious which file needs fixing. I would copy that file to your computer where you can find it, then edit it with Notepad to add that line, then copy it back overwriting the one that is there. Since you can always edit it back, there is no real risk.

Thanks oldbuddy70 if it isn't already fixed by WA in the morning than I'll try that!

Is your site hosted at WA, if so get as much information together and shoot an email off to hosting support.

Fixing this is not easy as you have no understanding of ftp/WordPress installations and going in blindly could make things a whole lot worse.

Thank you Rizzer! I am hosting on WA! I will do that now and hopefully get this thing fixed.

You should be OK, the server team are on the ball. It might be a good idea though to find some training on FTP as you'll most likely need to use it for other things down the line.

And who said WordPress is easy :)

Thanks again Rizzer! I will seek out some FTP training.

And I think WA made me think WP was easy ;)

They got me :)

Rizzer do you have any idea how long it would generally take the WA hosting support team to fix an issue, such as the one I am having?

I'm not expecting it to be fixed now, just trying to get a ball park figure.

What your experiencing is a fairly routine problem and if it goes well shouldn't take long at all (if all goes well).

Are you backing up your website? No matter where you are in constructing a website you should get into a habit of making regular backups in case things go wrong. Installing a less than perfect plugin or even a failed WordPress update can in theory break your website.

There,s some good dropbox backup training here at WA, if you need i,ll find the link for you

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/backup-wordpress-to-dropbox-tutorial

Dropbox and the plugin are free so its not going to cost anything to secure your creation :)

Wow that's awesome Rizzer! As soon as I'm up and running again that's the first thing I'll do! I really appreciate the help. And thanks for the 95% peace of mind :)

LOL its not all bad, things rarely go wrong but you know if they do it will be at the worse possible time (hows that for reassurance).

All the best

Do you access your host via an FTP? If so the wp-config file can be found in the route directory. So literally should be found in the main contents once you log in through an FTP client such as file zilla.

This making any sense to you?

Thanks for the reply AMcMaster, but no it doesn't make sense to me. I am brand new to this, I don't even know what a FTP client is? I always log in using the (build my website) button on the WA main page.

Do you know of tutorials I can follow that would be relevant to my issue?

Here is a video tutorial on how to use filezilla and ftp.

Here is another post telling you what your details are to access your WA server via FTP.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/website-development-programming/what-port-do-i-use-for-ftp

Really hope you get it sorted. Just shout if you need more help.

I went through the certification course regarding Google Authorship. Now I have my google plus account linked to my user but, my blog post was done with the Admin user. Now I wa

First Ben you should NEVER have an admin user. It's an invitation to be hacked.

To change the author (I just did one) simply copy the complete post from the edit box in your dashboard. Then delete it and empty the trash (important). Log out as admin and log in as your other user and create a new post with the same title and paste in the copied content.

Go back and create a complicated user name with admin priveleges, then after you test it, go back and delete the admin account .

You don't have to go through that complicated process to change author! You can do it easily in quick edit on the dashboard. No need to be deleting posts at all. :) Beverley

You learn something every day! Although what I did was quick, this is even quicker.

Thanks BIS, I just went in and did that :) But for some reason I am still not seeing my google+ profile pic in the snippet....

Thanks Beverly - it's the simplest things that can drive you crazy.

Man, I love WA! I had this exact same issue on my new site that I did my first Post. Admin, since that was my only user account, was the author. I created a new user for all future posts, but didn't see how to change an existing post to a different user. I looked at "Edit" but couldn't find a way to change the Author.

Bingo! You nailed it. There's also another option right below "Edit" titled "Quick Edit". Changing author was right there!!!!!!

Thanks again BIS!
