What I'm Enjoying
I am really enjoying the helpful community life here at WA. Everyone has been amazing, helpful, and have helped tremendously to get me going in the right direction by providing answers to questions, providing comments and constructive feedback to help me to improve my website, and have been overall so friendly. I can see myself forming lasting friendships with many people on here.
I am also enjoying how easy it is to gain access to the training materials, to apply them, and to feel inspired and confident that my niche of providing Solutions to Problem Cat Behaviors is really going to take off and help a lot of people! I have been very excited about writing new content, and cannot wait to publish it for everyone.
What Has Been Difficult
Initially I found it painfully difficult to change headers and pick a theme for my website. However, I was also not following the courses as I was trying to start off of the excitement too quickly. I'm following closely to the courses and listening to my fellow WA members, and I am finding great success with it.
However, I am still struggling to fill white space in the widget area, and have been advised to try AdSense, which I'm on the fence about. I am still open to ideas!
The Story So Far... Progress
So far things have been really great. As I have said, I've met some great people who are always so quick to provide the best help that they can. I have felt passionate about my niche, the content I'm delivering, and am really looking forward to providing helpful content to those people looking to find solutions for life with their cat. QuietWhiskers.com will be in great standing before too long, and will hopefully, with your help, be the one stop for people looking to help their cats!
Goals
In the next three months I am really hoping to have an amazing website to show off. My main goal is to deliver great helpful content to people looking for solutions to their problem cat behaviors, ailments, and so much more. I'm hoping to provide a number of product reviews for products that my five cats already use, and provide links to the same products you can buy online for a reduced price! I'd love to be making money from this website and be able to use this for a primary income, but realistically speaking, those dreams will not be fulfilled just yet. One day at a time :] Poor planning is a plan to fail!

You have great content on your site but it is a little intimidating at first. It looks like a lot to read. I agree with Richard that you should break it up and have bigger fonts. Well written blog and excellent progress.
I had a look at your website which is also very well done, but I would suggest you consider using a larger font size with a darker font color and breaking up your paragraphs into smaller chunks.

Hi Brooke. Just had a quick look at your website. Content looks good.
What stood out to me though, is that you're using headings (mainly h5) for the body of your articles. First off, this hurts SEO, because it basically tells the search engines that every word in the article is equally important. You should use the header tags for actual headings containing your keywords only. Second, the body text is now way too large, and uncomfortable to the eyes.
I guess you're doing this because of the advice you got from the posts below to use a larger font. Using headers to get a larger font are NOT the correct way to do this. You should change the font size in your CSS file, so it'll automatically be displayed in a larger font on your entire site. If you don't know how to do this, I've got instructions on that on my website; http://imstartpage.com/change-font-wordpress-font-type-size-color. If you need some help with that, just ask.
I'd also recommmend not using black (#000) for the body of your text, but dark grey (for instance #333) instead. Pure black on white is very strainful on the eyes. Almost all websites use a shade of dark grey instead.
