Hello everyone!

I need help in clarifying my observation in my blog. I published 4 articles 2weeks back with 5 differents affiliate products link on each of the article

Wow! It looks like you got some great answers on this question. Very interesting convo. The best place to watch your website rankings is in Google Search Console. Jaaxy also has a rank tracking feature called "Site Rank", but I think that's only available in the Pro and Enterprise versions. I use it, but it might be a little early for you to get good data from that. In the meantime, Search Console will be best.

Hello Tiffany!

Thank you so much and yes as always the responses and advice are amazing and helpful.
I am sure befriending google console realtime :)

Hahaha. Yes, it has to become a friend.

Hi - I took a look at a couple of your articles. Your article on jumpsuits is only 565 words and has 5 affiliate links on it, and your article on blazers is only 526 words and has 10 affiliate links.

You have far too many links. It is recommended to have only 1 link for every 500 words. They could get indexed at some point, but would be unlikely to be ranked highly.

Hi Diane, I thought as much and currently removing the affiliate links.

Thanks for your assistance.

The first important question is how do you know you have not been indexed?

Because if you are just relying on the message you get from WA saying your posts have been indexed, they are not always precise. Your posts can be indexed without you getting that message.

So go to google and type site:yourposturl

be aware that there is no spacing between site: and the url for your post.

If you do this and the post shows up, you are indexed.

Wow... I just did and it is right there with all the articles on my blog row and tags showing up.

I thought getting indexed I need get a notification from WA.
Thank you very much Mikael!

You are welcome. No, you do not need to get that message - you can still be indexed.

Hi Bella
Have you submitted every article to Google for indexing via your Google console?
This should get your articles indexed much quicker

I tried doing that but got some errors like my sitemap on HTML

Ok. If there is a problem with your site map then that might explain your problem getting indexed. I would try to get that fixed first and then use console to submit articles. That way you will get indexed in a matter of hours

I submitted sitemap for my posts, pages and attachment..which I believe includes all my blog row and pages. I get an error when trying to submit my articles individually. but my posts, pages, attachments sitemap is working fine.

Is this a reason for the error? because I followed a tutorial here in WA on submitting a post to google console.

I appreciate ur assistance.

Hi Everyone,

I got a message from google saying New Coverage issue detected on my website which affected 2 categories. Which are my blog row categories and about me cate

Rose gave you some great answers here! Let me know if you have any additional questions about this.

Hi Tiffany,
Yea Rose advice was really helpful but this is 3 days now and I haven't gotten any response from google. I don't know if it is fixed or not.

I just checked my google console and it is still showing 2 pages with an error.

Hmmm. I’ll have to do some research on that and get back to you. I’ll let you know what I find.

Hi, what exactly did the errors say, because I got issue detected and it was my about me page which I have marked as no index.

I was able to fix it by following a training I found right here at WA

It marked my about me page as no index and also on my Fashion categories which my blog row as same. And also it showed that google has not been able to crawl my site since in the 6th Feb. I have attached a screen shot.

Also this

The training I shared on my previous comment will help you fix the noindex error thats how I fixed mine

Thank you very much

As far as crawling goes, You can submit you new articles in Google Search Console for indexing. Thats what I do, as soon as I finish an article, I login into my Google Search Console I do the URL inspection and if its not indexed, I submit it for indexing.

Ohhh great.. Thank you so much 🙏🏽

You are welcome

Pls one more question on site map... mine is showing the site map submitted are: pages, posts, attachments and categories. Do i have to manually submit for each article on my posts? And if i add a new page? I thought it’s an auto update on the already created site map.

Pls Sorry am bugging u with some much questions.🙏🏽

You don't have to do anything with sitemap, when I said that you can submit your articles in Google Console, its to speed up the indexing process, otherwise, you can just wait for Google to crawl your pages and index them automatically.
it's just that I like my articles indexed as soon as possible.

Okay Thank you

Hello Everyone,

Greetings.

I just got an email from Rakuten that my Affiliate Account has been terminated under session 20 of Rakuten Terms and condition. I have go

It's probably not anything you should worry about. It may be because your site is new. Sometimes, they want to see more established sites. You can build your site a little and resubmit later. For some things in this business, you have to be persistent. You can reach out to the affiliate manager or support for clarification, but I don't think it's anything you should worry about.

Thank you so much Tiffany. I am working on adding more content. I felt bad yesterday but have gotten over it. I will use Amazon affiliate at the moment till the site is more established.

Don't feel bad. Many companies want to work with established sites. Some will work with newer ones. You can still try, but you'll have to be a little more persistent in the beginning. Amazon Associates could be a good option starting out, but make sure you choose a sub-niche within your niche that has products with prices above $50 otherwise, you're commissions will be really small.

My guess would be that there's very little content on it. I'm with a network as well, and we would want to see more before approving you.

Don't let it upset you. Spend more time putting another dozen posts on there, then apply again.

Also right now when I view "Contact" there's nothing active there.

Thank you very much Jeannine. I am currently working on contents and fixing up the empty pages.
Thanks for your encouragement. I believe I will get better.

Is your site established? Maybe they didn't see much content...

Hi Dale, my site is established and honestly there is no much content... I just hosted it last week and still taking the training... you can take a look if you don’t mind @ https://bellatrendy.com

There’s your reason then - just apply again once your site is more established :)

Thank you very Much. I will work on more contents.

Hi - do you have a Privacy Policy on your site, which contains an email address where you can be contacted? Do you have an Affiliate Disclosure clearly visible? These are both legal requirements.

Although, to be fair, if you don't yet have any affiliate links, you don't need the disclosure, but it may well be that Ratuken expect to see it anyway.

*Further clarification - yes, they do need you to have an Affiliate Disclosure and "provide unique, quality content (not copied from another site or source) that adds value for your visitors"

https://pubhelp.rakutenmarketing.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003865563-Requirements-and-Recommendations-for-New-Publishers

Hi Diane,
I have Privacy policy but no Affiliate disclosure.. actually am just learning of it now from you.

Hi - there is a template in Site Content for an Affiliate Disclosure.

I took a look at your site, you definitely don't have enough content, as you only have 2 posts and they are very short at around 400 words. You need to add a lot more posts on a regular basis, and try and aim for a minimum of 1000 words, as recommended.

Another thing you need to consider is your images. They have to be copyright-free, you can't just take them from Google or other websites, even if you link them back to the website you got them from.

So, for example, you can't use the images from PrettyLittleThing or BooHoo unless you are an affiliate with them.

Ohhh okay.. Noted ! I will fix it all immediately.
Thank you very much.

Hi - something else to consider is that they actually charge you $15 to process a check payment! Not very fair really.

That is true but they do state that if you're country isn't available for the direct deposit they waive that $15 fee ☺️

Ohhh if they refund it is it’s okay! Can’t imagine having to make a sale of $100 before payment and then taking to $15! to process it!

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that.

Exactly! When I saw that they we're going to charge me $15 for the only payment method I could use I thought it was their way of making people choose the gift card method and spend the money you made back on them.
I read into it and they said that if your bank is unavailable for direct deposit that the $15 fee is waived.
Thank goodness!
I would have chosen against being an Amazon affiliate if that was how they were going to conduct their business

No problem ☺️

I looked into it because I didn't think that was fair at all

I'm stuck choosing the cheque option too because they don't support my country either. I don't want to choose Amazon gift card because you can only spend your money on Amazon if you choose that.

Choosing a cheque means that once you reach $100 US, they will send you your cheque during their next billing period

Hope this helps ☺️

All the best,
Melissa

Thanks so Melissa it helps I will go with the Cheque option.

All the best too.

I won’t chose gift cards because those are only used to shop on Amazon. Maybe just chose the check and hope you will make many sales to reach the payment threshold.
I really don’t think there is another way.

Thanks Rose, Check option it is then.

Do they not support PayPal ?

Unfortunately, they don't. I'm stuck using the cheque method too

Hi Bella I have the same problem living in New Zealand. One option I have for getting paid direct is opening an account with a hongkong bank called HSBS which has a branch here and in the US. I can then get them to open an offshore US account and can transfer as I like. See if you have a bank in your country that also has branched in the US.

Hi Nadine
Excellent suggestion!

Cheers
Dave

Hi Nadine! Excellent suggestion but the rules here is might be too long. I will just go with the Check option.

Thanks 😊
