Where i get my sales leads.
When I first got my site up and running and before I got into WA I could only think of three ways to advertise my website and build traffic. For 4 months I only received about 30 visitors max. And I would get really excited if it got anywhere above that.
Over the last couple months I have received an increased amount of traffic which seems to be a steady true number. around 200 every day. Almost all of my traffic comes from the same place.
I advertised in three ways. Facebook -through friends and family- although because of the nature of the site I was not able to convert many people into being fans or customers.
I also used craigslist. I know craigslist is swarming with people who would be interested in my adult based business so of course it would be a no brainer to advertise for free with them. I choose big cities. and made a spicy post and even advertised with a promotion code. This yielded one sale.
My Money maker. Which is still what drives people to my site to this day is from Yahoo answers. I looked up questions under most recent that pertained to my topic. I found one that asked a pretty specific question about a specific product. So i looked on my site to see if i sell it (i have over 31,000 items) I didn't so i choose a few products that did the same thing or were even better from all different price ranges. And then posted the info along with the links. And that is where most of my sales come from.
I suggest doing similar things within your niche. I myself always use yahoo answers when i look up questions. And a lot of times it is at the top of search engines results page.

It is good to use yahoo answers. Oh i forgot to tell the best part. Its kind of cheating but what ever works right!!!! So once the time for answering that specific question has ended there is a voting period. If the asker has not chosen a winner then the audience does. So what i do is look to see if they are in voting if so i will go and vote my answer as best. Typically this ends up with me winning which means my answer will become the best answer for that question and will be featured. So even years from now when someone is looking at it they can potentially land on my page since just like with google search people will go to the top sites. since i have the top answer they are most likely to go to my site first!
If yahoo answers allows you to vote for yourself it's not cheating--it's investing in yourself.
I checked their guidelines, by the way--as long as you answer the question it's completely ok to mention your website. So cool. Thanks again.
When they go into voting they make all the answers anonymous. so when you vote you don't know who wrote the answer and if you didn't right anything that would link to you or that is original you may not remember which one is even yours.
