Learning a New Language
I'm just a month into this Wealthy Affiliate endeavor and learning SO SO much!! Initially, I thought that if I were to get too involved with the community I would get distracted from the goal of earning money...building websites. Sounds backwards doesn't it? I'm finding that it is. Because the more I interact with this amazing community, the more I learn. I thought the education was only contained within the training modules or the webinars, but it's everywhere!
The training and the webinars are great but every time I read a blog or a classroom question, I learn something new because this collective community is positively brilliant! Everyone is so creative, diverse, communicative, warm, inventive...I can't think of enough adjectives to describe how much I learn JUST from this community!!! Plus everyone simply has beautiful souls!
Computers actually intimidate me because they don't work well when they're in my possession. I was even once told by a family member that I'm a "technological albatross" and to stay away from them. So, in a way computers, the language and the culture are an entirely foreign language. My profile states that "if it's possible to have less than zero knowledge of the internet, then that is what I possess."
But what if I want to go to that country? What if I want to learn the language and meet the people? That's how I feel here at WA!! I love immersing myself into this brand new language, this culture; and no matter how long it takes I'll learn the language. I'll eventually be able to speak fluently and teach the language to those born into this culture. I feel so much support from the community. Daily, I'll read a blog that speaks to something that I'm dealing with, and it helps me tremendously. So thank you all for helping me learn this brand new language in this new country!
