Sometimes being independent means helping others thrive!
"Making it happen" has been a moto of mine for over a decade. As a single woman,that has moved around so many times, I have run into so many scenerios where I literally had noone to help me figure out something. Noone to help me unload a uhaul. Figuring out machinery, or cooking a big meal cause I wanted to on a holiday. Sometimes, I would grab a random stranger off the street and say hey there you look strong! Do you think you could maybe help me with this one thing...my name is Jessica. How you doin?
There are those phrases "everyone is in this life alone" "If you want it done right, do it yourself" "The lord helps those that help themselves". Yeah we have all been there. In this day 2018 feels a lot like 1818, where men are scared to talk to us, and that is ridiculous. BUT, when it all comes down to it sometimes we are all alone. I know a lot of my girlfriends around the country are in the same boat, figuring out life and how to make it happen on our own. If men don't want to stand up to the cause then we shall proceed forward. I, for one, have a few male friends that have been great helps and support systems in my life, but most of the time I need stuff done and I'm on my own. So this page is hopefully going to gear women to helping each other help themselves.
