A bucket of tools
If I were to give you the four buckets of tools I keep stored in my toolbox on my old 2003 Silverado, you probably wouldn’t have a clue what to do with most of them. Maybe the hammer wouldn’t cause too much difficulty or the long handle screwdriver. But a few of the more esoteric items such as a vinyl siding tool or the closet bolt saw could give you pause.
These tools are from a trade I learned many years ago. But all the use memory comes rushing back each time I reach in and find exactly what I need. Yes
This is much like the process we go through in the affiliate marketing space. We are exposed to tools we never used let alone heard about before. And until we reach into our tool bucket a couple hundred times we feel uncomfortable and I’ll at ease.
But over time we begin to learn the purpose and function of each part of the process. And one day voila we know what to do with that box end wrench, coping saw and mitre box. It takes time but the more you work at it and get used to the tools the better you get.
The day will come when it will seems perfectly natural to be talking SEO, GSE, anchor text, and block editor. Those tools will jump out of the bucket like magic. You won't have to think about it. You will know you have learned the skill to do the job.
Using the new tools will become second nature and at some point you will look back and realize how much you know and how much youhave learned.

So true, so true.
One thing that I actually enjoy about affiliate marketing is the constant introduction of new tools to make our jobs easier or grow our sales. It's something you must be prepared for, in fact embrace, to remain current and successful in our industry. It really helps that it's fun too!
Everything you add to your learning carries you forward. You may not be aware of it at first, but it is so.

This is an excellent analogy, Dan! Very true, indeed!
Jeff
I bet your toolbox is full of hidden treasures, yes?
Yes, indeed, Dan! Some of them , I have even forgotten about!🤣
I love that. I’ve found items that I forgot I bought years ago. When I bring them up I smile when I remember when and why I got them in the first place. Some are even impulse buys from way back. Glad to know you are doing well.
Oh, I have definitely made those impulse buys in the past, Dan!
