Here's what I hear in the discussion section from many people just arriving.
Oh the horror. the tragedy, the humanity, the shame of it all. I read in discussion, I have been here two days, let me tell you everything that's wrong at Wealthy Affiliate. Got a minute?
Well first of all nobody told me about the Gravatar Account. What, I have to give two comments to get one. By the way, when do we make money. There's more.
How do they expect me to get this set up in seven days? What a scam leading me on then charging me $19. for the month. I would not have signed up if I knew I needed to buy a domain (You Don't). If I can make enough money in the free period then I'll pay. If I can't it's another scam.
IT'S NOT WA, IT'S YOU
I could fill up pages of comments like the above coming from these leaders of optimism. You offer someone the world on a platter and their response is, "this food is cold".
My advice to these people is to change your attitude and save your complaints for when you really have some thing to bitch about. I am sure you will find something.
Before all of us is an opportunity to learn about making money online. Now you can choose to complain about every perceived problem here or you can focus on learning how to build a profitable online business. Your choice.
My hope is that you choose the business and a better life for you. Today I went yearly and in spite of WA's flaws I will go yearly again when it's time. That means my cost is about $30 a month. How about you?

You can find faults in anything if you look hard enough. However, may I suggest that you complainers stop crying about the problems you see here (after day 2) and remember why you came here.
To learn how to make money. It's up to you, not WA. They know how to make money online. Now I know when you fail to make money here it will not be your fault but WA's fault. After all with all these problems, slights, horrors, old training, bad explaining, this to sign up for, that to sign up for, domains to buy and an overall affront to mankind itself. You may ask.
Has anybody ever made any money amid all these mistakes and this mess they call Wealthy Affiliate?

The biggest problem for most is that employee mindset saying that I want my money by next Friday.
Before you can develop a business that pays, you must first develop a business mindset.
I agree FF. If people here are not happy with what they make in their business here they can talk to their boss, right?
Such a great comment! When someone can develop the mindset that they are now the business owner and not the employee anymore, then it starts to make sense that you have to invest time, hard work, and money to get your business up and running. Most of us have been employees and it can be tough to get beyond that mentality and realize: I own this thing, now what am I going to do to make it profitable?
Also when you have your own business their isn't anybody to point fingers at but the boss. US! Thanks char21ger.
I get the complaints - I've done it myself - but I certainly don't agree that the world was handed to me on a platter. I, like several others, got very confused and was stuck on which way to go. Luckily, I reached out and received some much needed guidance.
Thanks for saying that Barry. A lot of people these days want everything done for them, and there are tons of "done for you" products out there that promise a million dollars in a month, but we've all tried those scams and still here we are. Building a business on the street or on the internet takes time, hard work, and yes..investment. Anyone who believes that you can get a business that's already done making you a ton of money for free is just not using common sense. WA will teach you how to build a business, but you have to do the work, and put in the time, and as with any business there are start up costs. So as with "any" business on the street or online, if you don't have the time or money to invest in it, don't do it, you will only end up frustrated and calling everything a scam. NOBODY makes money online without some time, hard work, and money invested, it just don't happen, and don't fall for the scammers who tell you something different.
Scams work so well because everyone is looking for the "easy way". I wish there were an easy way. Some that have been here for a relatively short time have done very well. I guess they just have a knack for this. Others like me, are learning slowly, but not giving up. I just want everyone to know that there is no get rich quick program anywhere. It just doesn't exist. SO, buckle down and try your best. What else can we do?
Very few here make considerable amounts of money quickly. It takes time. Stay at it Jim you will get there.
No there isn't an easy way. I appreciate your opinion Jim.
We deserve pay when our works provides something for somebody. Not just because we work.

I need to get paid real quick, but I need to work hard so I can work my way towards making that money.
It's very hard to make money here quickly. WA is set up to build a long term profitable business and that takes time.
