Get your content out there!

Last Update: January 15, 2018

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to share a few thoughts that i think will help some people here. I've noticed a lot of people suffer from Content Curation Congestion for numerous reasons. They want it to be perfect, not sure what to write on, believing they can't write or write well.

If you are feeling blocked or stuck when it comes to writing your content here are a few steps you can take that will help. Before I dive into these steps at the very beginning take comfort in the fact that your site will have 0 traffic in the beginning. This may sound odd, but in the back of your mind you are envisioning thousands of people reading your content the moment you go live or publish it. It takes time to activate traffic as you will learn in Kyle's lessons. When people realize this it removes the perfection pressure.

Now on to the steps:

1. Open Word/Google docs/note pad

2. Imagine you are sitting at a bar with your best friend

3. Your best friend asks you to explain a topic ( keyword of your article)

4. Write out bullet points of your explanation

5. Start filling out the bullet points with words as if you were having a conversation with your best friend.

Before you know it you will have almost 1,000 word article. A couple things to note:edit out any profanity as this will alienate some of your future visitors. I mention this important note as I shared these steps with my business partner Dan. He tends to follow steps to the extreme and his conversations with his best friends tend to be "colorful" so after the rough article is done is simply edits out the colorful words and analogies. It doesn't cease to amaze me how he can have such colorful diction when writing about building an email subscriber list or instagram marketing secrets but then again you would have to know Dan.

The reason why i bring up Dan is 2 weeks ago he was exactly like others that suffer from content curation congestion. In our partnership he made it clear content creation was my domain. He just text me a moment ago that he has his 10th blog post ready to go. This is 10 in a matter of weeks. His posts are ranging anywhere from 700-1300 words. A lot of his posts have already indexed with google!

i figure that if this worked for Dan, then this would help others here.

Hopefully this helps!

I definitely have experienced this. I've tried not to let it stop me, but you're totally right. No one is watching now. I can just build away an perfect as I go. It takes the stress off and makes writing more freeing and fun.

This was so helpful and refreshing, I suffer from that perfection complex and have to remind myself that it only slows me down. I like how you reminded me that the whole world isnt reading my posts as soon as i publish!! so silly how the mind tends to think that way. well thank you for your awesome post here. going to follow and learn from you. Thank you!

Your so right Barry, Im in the natural living kinda of niche, i don't actually know what i would completely call it but i know its out there lol. I help people switch to natural products and foods for healthier living and help with emotional health as well. I guess you could say green living.
