The longest Journey In My Life
Hello to you all, I thought I would just say hello as I have not said much for a while
Well I am still here and my mental health has been a struggle again but I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel
I live with constant pain, ringing and deafness in my left ear and face as the blood vessels in my ear are swollen due to the massive stress I have endured with PTSD, its hard to sleep as its with me 24 hour a day I hope it will calm down over time as I have worked very hard on my PTSD
I finished my EMDR specialist therapy some time ago and it has been very beneficial but it also uncovers you and I have been through some terrible anxiety and depression but I think I am over the worst of it
I am now starting to get more good days than bad so I think that is a sign I am on the mend
Most of my bad dreams are over now although I still get them now and again, mental health is so hard and a lot or people don't understand it
I count myself very lucky as I am in Alcoholics Anonymous and have a sponsor, he has become invaluable to me and he has been there for me for over 19 years
I am able to talk to him when ever I need to and he listens without judgment or interruption he is a god send
I have grown stronger over the years as I have had to overcome some massive hurdles and I have been sober continuously for 19 and a half years. I never imagined recovery could be so hard but it has shaped me into who I am today
I have discovered that the greatest asset I have is just being honest with my self and other people I always tell my sponsor exactly what I am feeling and I never run away from anything
I still have intentions to continue to build my online business and I never stop learning on WA

Alcohol is not the only addiction people struggle with. They also struggle with gambling, food, or internet addiction. I'm glad to hear that you've overcome your own addiction and your victory can help others do the same.
