Hello WA World!

Day 4 here for this Barefoot IMer and really enjoying WA so far and am definately encouraged that I have found a place that just may help me get my business ideas to the next level!

For now I am starting out my blog by sharing a post from another member whom I recently met who wrote alot of things I could relate to. I was given permission to share it with others as that is his wish as well! So here it is (Although i did need to do a few minor edits). Hope this may inspire others as well!

Mind Transformation

The beginning of my transformation began with God telling me to start a business if you want to really be free and do what you want. Going through 5 businesses, I learned some very valuable lessons:

1. Its Not About The Money!!! This needs to be understood right off. If you follow this rule you will continue to build your business even when it's not paying you. Businesses take time, they are not overnight. Give it at least 5 years before you can say ok, I have invested everything, and where's the payout? (This is also a diligent 5 years). Learn to work for free. What I mean is learn to work on your business even though its not paying you anything.

2. Know What You Want!!! A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. You also perish because you have no vision. Not knowing what you want to do will lead you in circles and you will end up no where. This is why WA(Wealthy Affiliate Course) is excellent because if you do not know what you want to do, they have done the research to give you ideas versus you trying to figure it out on your own.

3. Learn Leverage!!! We try to do things the way people who we feel are knowledgeable about business and finance teach us. But feeling and absolute facts and research are 2 different ends of the spectrum. When you follow people who you think are successful, does that guarantee your success? Do you even know if they are doing it right? You want to be in a position where you are working less but getting more results. That is leverage. WA provides that. A business idea and implementing that idea provides that. The Internet provides that. Tap into what will give you the biggest bang for your buck.

4. Goals Are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!! You cannot be successful without something you look at everyday staring you in the face hollering at you, "Waiting on you buddy". Start with small goals. I started out with 5 and 10 year goals but 5 and 10 years away is not this year!! I needed something that would help me now, a bridge to the 5 and 10 year plans if you will! These are things that you can do today that will ensure your success 5 and 10 years from now.

5. Know Why!!! How you are going to do it is not as important as why you are doing it! Anybody can figure out how to do something, but the why is the stamina and the endurance. This will keep you going when you run out of ideas, when you are ready to give up. The whys won't let you because it is bigger than you. When you can start a business for somebody else to benefit and not just make money, you have a business that will last and allow you to create more businesses. People who get rich for just that aspect alone are lonely. I know some, literally. They are not happy at all.

6. Mind Transformation!!! Your trying to do it alone is not working and what led you here. (Talking to myself, LOL). But seriously, your thoughts didn't work. I said "Bredell, you are a lone ranger in a big world. How are you trying to build a business by yourself"? I had the answer but it was the wrong answer. It took me 5 years to find the right one. How you think and how rich people think, are totally different. If we want to be wealthy, we're gonna have to change our thoughts, actions, words and even friends. Everybody cannot go where you are trying to go. Why try to bring them with you when they are not ready or on the same level as you. They need to be taught first, then they can come. Bringing people with untransformed minds means destruction for you and is company for them because they never left.

1) Check your motives and build your business from a solid foundation!

2) Have a vision and goals! Start small! What are you going to do today to reach your 5-10yr goals? Get the tools, training & support you need and JUST DO IT! (example: Wealthy Affiliate)!

3) Do your research and homework. Learn from this and apply it to your visions and goals. Use and include your own brain, experiences and talents! Find ways to work smarter that will build a foundation that will last and grow!

4) Just Keep Going! Do something daily for your business! You probably won't achieve your 1-5-10 yr goals if you are not doing the daily small stuff today! Plant your seeds now and watch them grow later...!

5) (This is my fav!)...Review your motives and goals FREQUENTLY if not DAILY! You might get side-tracked and lose focus and vision if you don't! (I am posting pictures and post-it notes around my room of country living and gardens and my family to remind me, as well as some ugly city pictures for added motivation)!

6) You can change your thoughts by first getting the right training to take you to where you want to go!
