Is it possible or even appropriate to remove the WordPress brand name at the bottom of your WordPress website page or am I asking a dumb question ? Hope WordPress doesn't hate
Hey Wusiman, it is possible to remove it, that being said my friend it is in the php code and it varies in every theme. If you can live with it at the moment as you do not want to mess with the code unless you know your way around it? If you take out the wrong text etc. it will mess with or break your site.
Cheers
Darwyn
Hi Darwyn, it is always great to hear from you, man. I think I got the whole picture loud and clear now. I think I am gonna just live with it for the time being. Thanks a lot and have a great day !
There is no such thing as a dumb question. I think that is not possible unless you get a paid subscription to WordPress. I am sur that Kyle and Carson have a "deal" with WordPress to advertise their name on every webpage build through WA. I might be wrong but that would make more sense!
Hi Mike, thanks for your time and attention. Your answer is greatly appreciated. I think I shouldn't be surprised if that is the case. Thanks again !

WordPress is free so I think it's only fair that they should have their brand on our websites. Same with free themes.
Hi Marion, thanks for the feedback. I am beginning to get the whole picture loud and clear now. Very well said. I think WordPress deserves that credit for providing a free platform to begin with. LOL. Have a great day !

Have you tied to Google for a multilingual WP plugin, there are a few out there. When I correspond with Chinese I use Google translate it's sufficient to communicate effectively and it's free. Good luck, cheers!
Hi Gerald, your valuable input is greatly appreciated. I will certainly check it out. Cheers !
Awesome! Let me know if you find something good, I might want to install it for my Chinese client's site. Thanks!
Hi - well the international language is English and the Chinese who are looking in the web can understand must things but if you really want to do it first finish your site 10000% and then get it all translated
And build a Chinese site and link it to the English site but how will you respond and answer Chinese questions ???
Best regards Paul
LOL, Paul, you just raised a seriously interesting question of how to respond to Chinese customers in Chinese. I am more than happy to tell you that Chinese is actually my second language and man, wouldn't it be great if my website gets popular with that market ? LOL. But, thanks for the idea. I will definitely keep my options open. Cheers !
I believe you can if you have a language responsive theme! But I would wait until others answer!
Thanks and sorry

I have a few what I think good names for my projects and I'm excited about using them for domains as well as permanent businesses of mine (am I overreacting ?). My question is:
Hey Wusiman, I think Jovo @jvranjes has you covered. Once you register a domain name it is your property unless you sell it on or you decide not to renew it, only then can somebody have that particular url. If someone else searches for it on ANY domain registrar site it will come up as unavailable. (because you already own it). Regarding the copyright on your business name I can only say that UK rules and regs might vary to US laws. In the UK you can actually have the same company name providing it isn't a well established trademark or brand ie: Coca Cola Pepsi etc. and providing it is an entirely different business model.
POOCHES -Dog Grooming Salon
POOCHES-Bar and Grill etc.
If you have looked into keywords yet Wusiman and are targeting a certain niche, try to have your keyword for that niche either in or at the start of your domain name. Helps with the search results.
Hope this Helps.
Cheers
