How to make money online with small investment - finally!
I tried blogging before. I set up a great, informative blog and posted a bunch of posts with lots of pictures. I'm not a bad writer, but I just never got traffic. That is because I had absolutely no idea about keywords, social media reach nor how to rank in Google. Never heard of it! That is until I fell on a website called Wealthy Affiliate.
The name alone says it all, and I was intrigued by the fact that I could actually start for free. I was trying to find out how to make money online with small investment. I simply didn't have a lot of money to invest in the various guru programs out there that supposedly gave you the blueprint. I had already paid for one in the past that literally taught me very little meat (I didn't even learn about keywords) and all they did was keep offering me more meat if I paid more money. A lot more money. I gave up on that.
I was definitely skeptical when I first came upon the Wealthy Affiliate program, but when I saw what Wealthy Affiliate offered for free, it was a way to get started, test-drive the program, get my feet wet and truly see if this would be worth the investment.
They offered me a premium membership, of course, but after my trial, they offered me a starting month at $19.99. I can do that, I thought. So I took the plunge!
So glad I signed up
I started the training. The way this program literally guides you through the classes, letting you know each time you open your account exactly where you left off, is so helpful. I can leave the program, close my computer, and when I come back, it shows me exactly where to pick up again. That is priceless!
The training itself is amazing. I learn visually, so with each lesson, there is a lesson plan and then a video that walks you right through whatever it is teaching you in the lesson. Each lesson has action steps you check off to show you've completed that task, so you can track your success and the completion of each lesson and its tasks.
The best part
The best part of Wealthy Affiliate is the community. That is something I never expected. At first, I didn't really understand the value of the community. I actually thought I didn't want to commune because these people were my competitors. Nothing is farther from the truth. I suppose another member and I could occasionally compete for keywords, but that is a one-off situation.
Once I got into the training, and it taught me how to commune with the folks on the Wealthy Affiliate platform, I learned:
- Members will put comments on your posts which ranks you in Google.
- Members will review your website and give you feedback. This is valuable when you are getting feedback from people with much more experience, people with backgrounds in English and grammar, and people with artistic flair to help with the structure of the posts. Amazing!
- Members will follow you on twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Members will answer any questions, i.e. technical website questions, set-up questions, Wealthy Affiliate platform questions, anything! You are never alone struggling to figure things out.
All of this is reciprocal. If I leave several comments, I get a comment in return. The systems in place for this keeps it honest and productive.
My website
I set up my website almost immediately, as this was the goal of the first couple of trainings. I had very few questions, because each of the lessons were so in depth and specific. I set up my website, adding great post after great post.
You can view my first Wealthy Affiliate Website here: FOUNTAINOFYOUTHLIFESTYLE.COM
The classes taught me the nuts and bolts, how to carefully choose the best keywords for ranking success, how to write for my audience, and the tools help make sure I have proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure.
Success
I finally know that I am on the road to great financial success. As my retirement looms ever closer, I feel confident I will have my website producing substantial income in no time. The recipe for success is the Wealthy Affiliate platform, and I plan to stay for the long-haul!
