How to Link blogs to each other...simple
OK, so here is the easiest way to connect a blog page to another within your WP. I was messing around with the buttons and came across this. Perhaps many of you know this already, but this is for the one's who do not.
First, log in to WP. Go to your Dashboard and then Posts, All Posts. Choose which post you want to link to and from.
Now go to the post you want to link TO...at the top, note the Permalink line. Move your eyes along all the way to the right to where it says Get Shortlink.
Click Shortlink button. Windows opens. Copy that short link, then close window box.
Now, go to the post that you want linked to the page you just got the Shortlink from.
Within the Visual settings, highlight the words/phrase you want, then click chain link at top.
When box opens, remove the http:// then past the Shortlink in the box.
Then be sure and check mark the little box that reads: Open link in a new window.
Afterwards, click the Add Link button.
Finally, update everything. Done.

Thanks for this information. Just wondering how useful doing this when some blog posts or pages rank #1 page 1 while others don't rank so well?
Thanks for this info I have never done it this way.
But there is an easier way to do this just go to the post you want to link to another page. Highlight the word or words you want to link then click on the link tab, when the box pops up right below the address field there is (or link to existing content) click on the arrow and all your post/pages will be in the drop down. click on the one you want to link to and then click on add link.
There is a quicker way to do this.
Suppose you are editing one of your posts and you want to link it to another post. Highlight the word or phrase that you want to convert to a link. Click the link icon in the WP toolbar, from there you will see a list of your other pages and posts and you simply select the page/post you want to link to.
Plus, I am given to understand that it's better for SEO to use the full link rather than creating a short link.
Great ! Thanks Steve. It's always a pleasure to hear from you.
OK, so is everyone else listening?
